I just don’t see it in matches. Wasn’t “he will dumpster flying heroes” a big part of the fuss before his release, because of his E ? I have never seen a Ramattra somehow be a danger to pharah yet.
Is that ability a danger to anyone? It’s more of a slight annoyance.
They forgot to make the E ability do anything meaningful at all. So sadly no, he isn’t pulling anything out of the air.
Its what Sojourn’s grenade should be. It slows, it damages (I think), but I never felt like I was just automatiaclly going to die because he’d doink me with a powerful right click attack while I’m ALREADY BEING HURT AND SLOWED BY THE NADE.
Let me put it this way.
I think it’s pretty and like to stop fighting and dance through it. I guess that’s a kind of scary.
It’s dangerous how well it goes with baptiste disco ball and dance.
I truly love how despite being more or less the same ability, Sojourn’s WILL kill you if you stand in it too long, and that’s on top of the overwhelming damage she can do herself.
Ram’s on the other hand stops you from jumping and does like a whole 10-15 damage if you sit inside it for the whole duration.
It is super powerful. But people don’t know how to use it yet
I think it is the strongest part of his kit.
Even if it reached the skybox it would still be hard to place it perfectly under Echo/Pharah/Mercy.
It honestly just meant to slow someone down for a moment to let you hit them more easily with your primary. Since it’s smaller than sojourn’s disruption, I think they should change it to deploy the same way ram’s shield does. hold it, see the circle on the ground, release to deploy.
At least that way you could target a little more easily and put it where you want instead of bouncing it off torb’s face and off the cliff into oblivion.
It would be pretty unjustified to make yet another Pharah counter in the game
For this reason it feels like it counters Lucio and Genji more than anything lol
They make an ability that drags things out of the sky…but the ability doesn’t reach all the way to the sky.
At this point I’m thinking Blizzard is trolling us with these garbage ideas to see how much crap we’ll take.
Nah, it only limits vertical mobility so Genji can dash and Lucio can speed horizontally.
It actually has a high slow, it works well vs mobile heroes IF they ever get caught in.
It’s reach is WAY too low, the way they made it out made me think it would go all the way up to the skybox, but I haven’t seen ANYONE actually pull down a flying hero with it. Also it’s damage is way too low and it’s slow is not slow enough, in every way it’s just a worse sojourn slow grenade.
Ok, but it’s not a counter. It limits those two as much as it limits other heroes.
Is Ramattra a counter to any hero ? , i remember the comments on his Gameplay video ‘‘Omg he is gonne be so OP , he is gonne destroy everything’’ …i wonder where they are now
By now i played a game as any tank vs ramattra, and i got to answer no, i never felt threatened, much less countered as anyone.
Bro looks menacing asf but in game he’s just a harmless teddy bear Very awesome lore wise and I love him as a character but he’s underwhelming af.
They did him dirtyy, they marketed him as a mercy killer with that trailer but in reality it’s really nothing as what they advertised
