What gets me is that omnics are a single generation, but why? With all of their advanced technology they can’t reverse engineer omnics?
The actual Null Sector units themselves that we’ll be fighting against in the PVE aren’t sentient
Can’t reverse engineer a “soul”

If they had a factory to build omnics, I don’t see why they couldn’t reverse engineer them. 
The factory itself didn’t grant them a soul or consciousness

What exactly granted them consciousness then?
Pretty sure the omniums weren’t the things that gave omnics sentience.
No one knows or understands why they’re sentient. It’s one of the biggest mysteries of the Overwatch universe. I’m sure someone like Sombra would’ve already figured it out if it was that simple.

In fact, now that I think about it, Ramattra has to one of, if not THE dumbest villain character in video game history.
That’s how most people have worked through history.
There have been many IRL situations this century when un offers to broker peace but they refuse then get eliminated.
To me this whole robot soul thing is just the remnants of being connected to some super advanced AI (god programs? Iris? idk), when for some reason connection was lost omnics still connected to it at the time had some data pumped in to them making their own programs more advanced once they cleared out all the bugs it could create.
