Did they remove the petty time-outs for leaving QP matches? Even though I still see the warning telling me I won’t be able to requeue immediately, I can now, every time.
Its so nice to just be able to exit all the bad matches again, I hope its intentional.
if it’s not working, then it’s a bug. But enjoy it while it lasts I suppose.
They’re still there, but you can leave during map voting phase & at the first setup phase without being penalized.
No man, I know about the normal grace period, I’m talking about bailing AFTER the match has started and the imbalance has become clear
Havn’t gotten the time-out for doing it once, despite (sadly typical) long stretches of such matches to quit
Well ok that must be some bug then, i think i got a 2 min suspension yesterday. Not sure though.
It actually could explain how it felt like there was a bit more leavers and backfill games yesteday…
Maybe it was the emergency maintenance they did that broke it, if something did.
Yep, I was going to see my regular 10 mins suspension after 4th leave but got nothing, and left next 2 in a row to try and there still was no penalty
They actually have this bug from time to time - I’ve experienced it already ~5 times

Thanks to my nearest neighbour that launch drones each evening - now I’m not only leaving stomps but just random matches to hide between 6 walls…eh

I will have to look for that info, but AFAI remember you dont get a penalty just by leaving a game after the round started.
I remember reading during the map voting blogs, that you would get a penalty if you left the match at the voting phase.
I do remember before the map voting, that if you left at assemble starting part, you will get the message but actually it wouldnt count for a “left game”.
Maybe I will experiment leaving games at the assemble part, because I dont really leave games 99% of the time (I play QP), but this season I left 3 times, due to the matchmaking giving me 2/3 teammates in the same matches that I’m pretty sure had less than 2 hours of playtime, and at the same time, the enemy having titles and golden weapons. It was obvious a loser match.
Which I’m sure is every match based on what I see on here everyday….

This is correct. However, if you leave during map voting, it cancels the lobby and everyone has to requeue again.
As a courtesy, if I don’t like the map voting results, I leave at match setup (when everyone is picking their hero). It’s still no penalty, and the lobby continues for those weirdos that actually vote for Flashpoint.
That bug has been fixed, im pretty sure. I’ve not seen a single game cancelled for a long time.
Its working for me, I got dc’d a few times and have a 2 day suspension

maybe their 2 day suspension for their outtage should be 2 days worked without pay.
the company is such a double standard hippocracy. they expect us to be perfect in connection. but when they cant even manage a few racks of servers its 100% okay for them to faulter.
folks need to stop forgiving them, since they dont forgive us.
There are no changes.
During map voting there is a 5s counter which should not be there - this is a bug as there is no penalty.
During assembly countdown there is no timer and no penalty.
After assembly the timer is back and the penalty applies.
This is how it’s been for as long as I can remember.
So you went through the 2 hour suspensions while still having network issues? Hmm.
The first few times it was my overclock on MY gpu which I forgot to disable since overwatch is such a legacy game it has trouble with Overclocks.
