Quitting Overwatch

Can anyone give me a reason to play overwatch anymore? I don’t have friends that play it anymore. I suck at the game, and have a hard time getting better. The constant changing of characters makes it more annoying. Most people that play this game think they’re all knowing, or just very toxic people. I don’t see the benefits of playing this game anymore. (PS. I know no one really cares and I know there’s going to be tons of toxic comment saying I suck and a crybaby. I just need to vent my frustration of wasted time I’ll never get back.)

At this point if OW2 doesn’t save it (still very unlikely) nothing will.

The workshop-- oh wait that was nerfed too.

Do what you enjoy. If you don’t enjoy OW then there are roughly 50,000 bazillion other games out there to try. I keep playing OW because I happen to really enjoy one of the heroes gameplay styles but even I don’t play OW exclusively. Recently I picked up “Company of Heroes 2” because it was on sale on Steam and I’ve been enjoying shelling the hell out of the fascists. See, you need lots of mortar teams set up and a scout car to act as spotter with an engineer team in case of enemy mines. A defensive line of conscripts with machine gun and anti tank weaponry between the two helps just in case the enemy decides to make a push.

For mother Russia!!

The only reason to play a video game is because you have fun playing it. If you don’t have fun playing it, then you should do something else with your time.

you wanna hear something funny… i have actually quit OW and i just like to be active of the forums because i really like a small amount of the people here. if you dont see a reason to play dont, i dont think there is anything wrong with eventually growing tired of a game, it happens

It’s a good game if you only have 15-20min to play.

You know you don’t have to quit a game cold turkey, you can just move onto another game and come back later if you ever wanted to.

ok goodbye then

Just quit.

You haven’t wasted time. You’ve used time to explore something and experience what it has to offer.

The unfortunate truth is that Overwatch is winding down. There’s no content. There’s fewer players–meaning matchmaking is too loose, which pits some VERY GOOD players against some NOT SO GREAT players even though, on paper, the teams are balanced.

The game is only ever as good as the people who play it can make it. The passion and fun and excitement of launch and the first few seasons was always going to be hard to sustain. But the lack of content, and the switch of most resources to OW2 has left OW1 to die.

You can always come back. But if the IDEA of playing is CONSISTENTLY misaligned with the EXPERIENCE of playing, then it’s probably time for a new adventure.

Stay healthy, human.

you just haven found a hero that you enjoy playing. win lose or draw should not affect too much about your interest in the game. if you have the interest you will improve and do better. its a matured game so theres less encouraging vibe in the community as most people presume by now everyone should know the mechanics of the game.

Regardless of all it’s flaws it’s still the best FPS out there. Now enjoy searching for a new FPS game being fully aware of this…

Really? I can find heaps that can easily match it
-Half Life 1/2
-Doom 2016
-Bioshock
-TF2
-Titanfall 2
-Timesplitters 1/2/3
-Fallout New Vegas
-Portal 1/2

I’ve been playing battlefield 5 and honestly it’s a breath of fresh air. No one is toxic, games are fun, everything is less tense.

After years of no content and after seeing overwatch 2 and also seeing what they do with heros in overwatch 1 like Moira its better to leave the game after 5 years. Jeff saw the signs of a shinking ship. I cant wait for Chivalry 2 next week i was having so mutch fun in the beta i never had since a long time ago  Then i wait for fall guys on console and the new Battlefield. Get away with overwatch i lose all my hope.

I am kinda done with the game too. Not mad just not much left to do in the game.

Improved massively yet still samey low rank but ‘play casual’. Well i cant and honestly wouldn’t even if i somehow got an aimbot because the game just cant help but always give perfectly pro enemy teams while giving me a bunch of team mates that make me question about them being even humans in the first place.
No skill No brain No Guts No Fight just a bunch of lifeless excuses for team mates that only know how to hide for 2 seconds and delay the inevitable while the i have to try hard 110% just to not perform and seem like the worst player in the history of the game just because the other team is so good.

It get pointless after a while and skill caps , plateaus are a thing but its clear that even if somehow i became the absolute perfectest player it wouldn’t help when i would have 3 dummies on my side where & they would have atleast 4 perfect players.

Only you can. This suppose to be fun. If you don´t have fun, bye than…

No, I think its past time you left actually if you feel that way. Overwatch is and always will be an abusive relationship. Break the cycle.
