It’s just a waste of time at this point. I can’t even get into a match at my own SR most of the time, and when I do it’s against 4 top 500s in a stack with maybe a smurf or two with them to make the match even more unwinnable.
Best of luck to any other solo queuers dealing with this, but I won’t be back until they fix this problem by removing group/duo queue entirely at these ranks.
You know, you could always just group up with your own friends and not play the game solo.
GM and Top 500 is 1% of the entire player population, there are only a handful of players at this rank queuing at a time, so if I did group with a bunch of people at this SR too, there would not be enough other high rank people to create a fair match, which is why boosting stacks are so common here.
That’s a fair point. Not really sure what to tell you then. If you don’t find yourself enjoying the game anymore, maybe you should take a break?
There should be a soloQ for all tiers, not just 3k and above. I am tired of this special treatment for you guys.

There is a very limited number of GMs. It is unlikely your irl friends are going to be.
Lol what? That’s strategy and what the game was designed for. What you’re asking is for the developers to change the way the game was meant to be played, with your friends, in a stack, against other stacks or equal or higher tiers. If the Overwatch team let players have the option to prefer to go in games with solo queue players only, that could be added, but not forcing players to have to stop from playing with their team/friends.

I don’t think he’s saying that he doesn’t enjoy the game, but that he doesn’t appreciate people in the top tier exploiting the matchmaking system to their advantage. Because that’s exactly what they’re doing, I personally think that a 4 stack of Top500’s should have to wait for another 4 Top500’s to populate the game even if that means waiting 20+ minutes. Maybe then they would stop grouping and play on a level playing field.
I mean if you think about it, it’s cheating. What they’re doing is performing some external meta action outside the game to have a clear advantage in the game.
Even if it’s something that seems harmless like grouping with 3 other people.
