Anyone else sick of seeing everyone complain on here about the recent PTR update? They are trying to deal with the GOATS meta that everyone has been upset about over the last few months and all there is on the forums are people posting about how they will never play tanks again, other characters need changes, brig is dead, reaper needs changes to his shadow step, blah blah blah blah.

First of all tanks are a huge problem because they are way too strong. This armor nerf will make them play like they were meant to be played, as a tank and not a rush dps.

Second, Dva has way too much utility. She has everything a character would want in the game. Good mobility, high dmg, survivability, and she can block nearly everything. The defense matrix nerf is needed and it is only one second more. Calm down.

Third, Brig is also a problem in the Goats meta because she provided too much armor. Honestly the nerf is not even a big deal and her ultimate can still be used prior to a fight.

Fourth, stop complaining about other characters needing changes. If blizzard did everything at once it would be extremely hard to balance everything in one patch, leading to a huge mess of changes being added to the game.

Just stop your whining.

she has the fattest bloody hitbox in the game and can go from 100% health to 0 in a matter of secs, with her defense being on such a cooldown it can lead to selfish plays in order to stay in mech instead of being able to peel for supports or low health teammates

the armour nerf also screwed her over

When a character has an extremely high pick rate for a long time, something has to be changed. Once again, people will have to learn how to play as a tank and not a rush dps.

Its very clear that the nerfs where to demolish goats before the next OWL starts up.
Dva has been on top for a LONG TIME (overall)
It may of not been the right way to go about it (time will tell) but she NEEDED taken down.

I’m more concerned about Orisa with the shield change.

yeah orisa probably needed a change anyway before these nerfs to armor. However she will still be a niche pick for now until they decide to change her a bit.

DVA will be ok to me at the least. I’m just worried about Orisa from the armor nerf. Shrug

Come on man, Dva can literally block every projectile including heals from the enemy team and ults. No other character can do that as easy as she can and she is a tank.

Half her health in armor, so she takes the biggest hit as she is now, its sad :frowning:
Bring on the reworks if that’s whats needed!

Too much doom and gloom. You’d figure the way the forums are acting that there are going to be 5 or 6 DPS on each team, we all know that isn’t happening unless your throwing. I don’t think Dva is dead, I don’t think Brig is dead, and I don’t think GOATS is completely dead,it just isn’t going to be used in every situation on every map.

it takes forever to go back up if you use it all, it also goes down quickly, you’re acting as if it’s easy when in team fights its almost impossible to see, it takes hours of practice and precise timing in order to eat ults like meis and zaryas

D VA doesn’t block beam weapons stop spewing bull defense matrix cannot block everything. It’s obviously you don’t play d VA. Blocks heals and enemy ults literally ever tank except roadshow can block ults.

Giving reaper more mobility by making shadow step an ability he can use on the fly rather than having the long delay to go into and out of it would have fixed any and all problems with reaper.

Well… maybe the wining is becuz the lower brackets get hurt by this and not the higher ranks? Wich is the least % of the playerbase…

Anything that works in Gm, doesnt work in plat and below

I play in plat and yet have to see the first Goat setup… Unless in a 6 stack…
People dont play Goats there, i get silvers and golds in my team…Never till this day i played in a Goat team… So who they help? Not those ranks :wink: and sadly thats where the most % of the playerbase plays…

But I do play Dva, look at my profile. And I mean all projectiles which are a majority of the dmg output in the game.
