Quickplay Rematch Option

We should have an option to vote for a rematch after 6v6 quickplay games.

Short and simple.

You essentially vote for a rematch by not leaving when the game is over. If enough players are available to keep the server instance open after the post-match timer, it fills in any empty slots and goes again. It even reuses the same map and swaps offense/defense when applicable.

I do not believe your claim to be true.

Okay. :man_shrugging:

It pretty rarely happens, anyway. The losing team usually quits immediately before or after the game ends, probably hoping not to get a rematch.

It’s true, but also swaps some players from team to balance it better.

It is true. It’s just that typically enough people leave that it forces you to find a new match.

I’ve had the rematch / switch sides thing happen in QP before. It’s just pretty rare.

I mean, it’s not like not believing is going to change a fact…

This is what I’m experiencing as well. I run a daily group, we spend a good 6 hours minimum per day in quick play. I have yet to be left in a lobby to rematch the other team. Have had dozens and dozens of rematches after being removed from the lobby and placed back against the same team, but never once has it left the lobby open.

It’s true

But according to everyone else in this thread it’s not. Sure wish someone would post credible information to add closure to this.

It is true. You swap sides if nobody leaves the match.

Just here to say it’s true. Maybe not for king of the hill maps tho, since there’s no offense and defense phases

I think it keeps teams the same when doing the second round of the same map, but it does rebalance after mirror matches.

You can Google this yourself, mate. Jeff Kaplan addressed it. It is true.

But does it still happen now in 222? I use to get a ton of flip sides, get 2-4 new players and go again, before 222 hit.
Now I’ve not seen it happen even one time since role lock

It is true.

I even had more than 2 games with and against the same people in a row.

The only reason you rarely see it happen is because at least 2 or 3 people will be salty and leave.

This. I’ve yet to play 2 sides of a map in role lock.

It doesn’t do that anymore after role queue. It puts everyone back into the queue now because it wouldn’t be fair to keep people who’ve been waiting in the queue there while other people are put into game after game. Now everybody waits the same amount of time between matches even if they’ve just completed one.

I want this, too. I got tea bagged as a match ended yesterday by somebody who I outplayed in a major way. Normally, I’d stay in the lobby until I can return the favor. Now, they get away with it with no chance for revenge.

People who beat you and teabag you, especially when they know they’re worse than you, would never give you the opportunity to rematch. GGNORE is a thing in other games.
