Quickplay pointless?

No offense, but QP seems to be full of morons that don’t understand the game.

All anyone cares about in QP is damage. They don’t care about the objective; they don’t care about playing their role it’s really bad.

But the worse thing about QP is the bad players who try to blame the whole game on you.

I just had a game where my team LITERALLY did not touch the objective the whole game. My whole team was literally spawn camped the entire game.

I’m playing Sombra. Now anyone who knows how to play Overwatch knows that Sombra can’t go in 5v1. But then I get flamed for not doing that much damage. Like really? You expect Sombra to go 5v1? My team LITERALLY did not touch the objective.

So my team loses big surprise; but my team is oblivious to how bad they are at the game. “Oh Sombra we did perfectly fine!” when they literally lost.

I’m done with QP; there’s no point. Even if I want to practice I’d just rather do comp.

I hate to break it to you, Viper; however, competitive is not much different.

These people are delusional. I am sorry that it happened, but… You know what I am going to say. I will spare you the redundancy. Albeit, if you do decide to try competitive, good luck!

hate to break it to you
but its quickplay, its a casual game, you might as well play comp or just mute chat so you dont have to listen to their BS
yes some people are just really stupid but thats is kinda the purpose of quickplay

Forced 50/50 ig

I would flame you for playing sombra, its just characters that arent seen much in team fights often get flamed for not getting kills constantly or appear to not have done much

Sounds like your team was pretty lame, but it also sounds like you probably shouldve switched because you werent doing anything either.

First…Sombra isn’t going to break an aggressive spawncamp wall.

Dude…would it kill ya to swap to something like a junkrat to push back fhe spawncamp and then go back to Sombra?

I don’t get it. You had options. And chose none of them. So you gotangry because you became predictable and easier to spawncamp? When yes, you could have done something.

I have had moments like that where I did get spawncamped for minutes on end til I got angry swapped to another hero and pushed them all back to break the spawncamp lock.

Yes I got toxic as my teammates, why? Because if all it took was for me to swap to a hero I never play to break the lock then why couldn’t my teammates do it too?

In the end once I broke the hold I was able to play my own hero choice again.

You have options. Why? Are you. Not using them?

Welcome to free to play games… Where u can get anything in your games

Young, old ,deaf ,blind ,stupid, smart, good , bad…

U really can’t complain… u know what u got yourself into…

U know u get Q with random people u never seen or talked to in real life and they can be all of the above I mentioned…and more…

Not sure really why u expected different…

Not only ow related… happends in all games where u solo Q with strangers…

I just got out of a QP game where our Ashe went 1-0-26
We asked her nicely to change but nope… I mean the only thing we could do was sit it out of leave and that’s what I did… I left … It’s annoying but yeah… nothing u can do about it

Sounds like a situation where you can just run invisibly to point, decloak and force the enemy team to contest point. If they’re spawntrapping you, this should be pretty foolproof.

I don’t mean this in a rude way, but if your team is stuck in spawn and you can get out without being noticed as Sombra (I know that’s map/spawn dependent though), you could go for the objective yourself to get an enemy away from your team, sometimes two if it’s a DPS with a Mercy pocket.

It can take the enemies attention away and can potentially make the game a 3v4, which can give your team an advantage.

Or if it’s just one guy you can suprise them with virus + hack, melt them and take the objective anyways. It isn’t fool-proof when it comes to bad teammates, but it can help to try and make a comeback.

It’s not like this game forces an actual tutorial and being free to play makes it even worse. Big damage and heal numbers don’t mean anything if nothing actually happens for the team.

It happens. But not all the time. I think it’s better than previous seasons. (maybe because rude players are now banned too).

I completely don’t agree. QP is holiday for me when I’m tired or not enough time to go in competitive. And I often have the same players like me. You can see the glass half full instead of half empty (yeah I play Zeny those days, so I put everything into perspective XD).

This, yeah, and they are noisy, but they are extreme minority too. And they often leave when the game is going wrong. Surprinsingly, when the new player tag in the team, it changes everything. So those players are not just toxic, they are very often very bad. You can see “ez” players are often the last of their role at the end of the game.

You can thank the matchmaker. Thing is, in QP you will have noobs in your team, they literally start the game like just now. So you need to accept that. Or you go competitive (where you can be spawn camped too sometimes with a bad team or against smurfs).

I already see huge damage for good Sombras. Thing is with Sombra, her TTK is insane, and she can have huge impact on the game without damaging this much like a Soldier or a Soj who sometimes just shoot straight ahead in the pack without making so many kills, and not much more than a Sombra who will have half their damage. So you can say here they deal garbage damage just feeding the ennemies ult, specially support’s. But many players don’t have this knowledge or just don’t accept it. They press tab, and they judge. And it’s the same for my games with Zeny, sometimes I deal huge heal, but sometimes I deal half heal than the other support because the game permits it, and as a support with Zeny I can deal almost same damage as a DPS with many confirmed kills, and this is a game changer. But if we have a bad tank or bad DPS, or both, who don’t understand the game, noobs will compare numbers and blame. But they check your cam waiting for spawn, and when you play good, it’s rare.

That’s what I said months ago. But I’m back in QP from time to time, and either everyone changed, or I improved a lot, but it doesn’t happen often in my case. Other thing, you can’t stick to a hero if the game goes bad but I think you know it. This is a counter game. For example, a tank who switch to Dva against a Zarya, DPS and supps will have to carry him and you know it could be hard to win because he’s a noob. But instead of blaming, it’s better to show kindness with good advice without waiting the end of the game for blaming. Anyway, in QP you have also to accept that a player can stick to a hero to train and try things, even if it’s a bad choice. So in competitive, be prepared to switch your Sombra lol.

no difference from any comp

Comp is the same way, lol. You’ll make key plays that lead to winning and all everyone cares about is how much damage you got.

Yeah, but if one DPS have 3k and three others have 6k, there is a problem anyway. And it’s not always a noob, we have throwers and trolls too in the game, like every other games.

An unranked mode would be good for this game imo kinda like siege but because of role lock I don’t know if they can handle another game mode without messing up que times

So… uh…

Most of us are pretty bad at video games. As in the human race. People also by default are hardwired to not take responsibility for their failings. So that happens too.

You will live a happier and less stressful life if you manage to stick to paying attention to what YOU are doing and what YOU are achieving rather than what everyone else is doing cause 9 times out of 10 they are going to disappoint you.

This is how you Ball main =]

So old halo dev confirmed this too they used to rig the matchmaking to give you a lot of easy games and then tougher games.

This happens in overwatch too but in extremes cause it’s not happening naturally but as a failsafe to less players in a pool
