Quickplay keeps losing

Not sure what everyone feels about this topic, I recently play quick play non-stop for hours but the win rate I get is beyond miserable.

Just putting it out there, I don’t trash talk, leave half game or sabotage ever, I don’t even type “gg” if we won; I literally just play whatever role I’m assigned but I’m losing for 5 games in a row consistently. Recent 10 have 3 wins at best…

I was plat tank after placement a year ago then stopped playing because of this issue. I never spent a dollar on skins or battle pass and I’m assuming that’s the main reason why I’m getting this shty experience. It makes me really sad because back in 2016 I had the best memories of my life playing OW1. I struggle to understand why it’s not enough to just play this game for Blizzard. Like why they have to rob me to the point I was having no fun. It’s no different than getting bullied and sht on the way those games went. Gosh qp was so much more enjoyable and chill, I’d trade everything to play those 6v6 matches again.

Well, I guess it’s time to say my last Goodbye and stop treating this game as what it used to be. I wonder what you guys’ take on this is.

There is no mmr or attempt to balance teams in quick play. I am high diamond in comp but now I mostly play qp and my win rate is sitting around 3%. Currently on an 40+ game QP loss streak.

I can tell you that when I constantly left Quickplay games I had better match ups than after they put the penalties in, and dont leave.

I get repeat after repeat of curb stomps.

I was promised that If I never left a match again, the “Good noodle fairy” would grant me 50/50 wins. I haven’t seen a single 50/50 since then. ALL i get is 2/10 per evening on wins. I hate this game being in this state. I hope microsoft dumps it on another company since they clearly dont want this mess either, and they turn it over to another gaming company.

I could see Epic games or Crytek saving it.

Quickplay is the only mode I can win. Perhaps it is because I am average relative to all the master and GM players that have to carry me. In competitive my MMR is quite clearly too high given the teammates they give me.

I’m on terrible losing streak.

Literally I’m queued up with nonsense teammates!

Can’t win 1v5 games

It’s just the nature of how the new F2P players play. They are coming from games where teamwork is minimized, and individual eliminations are king.

I’ve had match after match after match, where 1-3 players all run off in different directions to fight solo, die, respawn, run out solo to 1v5, die…wash rinse repeat, over and over again. It’s kind of funny to watch.

So when a team is only 5 people in OW2, if you get 1-2 players doing that, it’s hard to overcome them. And, if it’s the tank doing it, there is nothing you can really do.

It’s all made worse due to the absence of any real matchmaking (or a matchmaker (if there is one) that prioritizes fast matches over balanced ones.)

I play less and less because of it, as there are no “real” fights most games, like their used to be. If you get a group of long time OW players, you just steamroll the disorganized split up teams…which is dull…and if you end up on a team of 1v5 type players, they get rolled…which is dull too.

It’s all made more sad, with the absence/removal of a lot of the old maps I enjoyed playing, which were then replaced by modes and maps that are generally not as fun. (IMHO, in QP, they should have kept them all.)

Add it all up, and it’s not a good scene. IMHO.

There are those that really enjoy it though, so maybe they’ll keep the game funded and going.

Everything changes. Nothing lasts forever. OW is no different in that regard.

Games can be back and forth at times. I think it’s not too bad for me since it’s like every 2-3 games its wins and loss steaks, so not too severe. My main issue in quick play this week is the backfill not finding a player or working, idk. Sometimes no one fills in from the very beginning of a match, so it has to be like some sort of bug or something.

The nature of adding a scoreboard to a game that at its core is not about individual performance at the same time as adding many new players who do not know that is that they will have NO IDEA what they should be aiming for.

Lol how is this possible? Even if you’re the worst bronze player in the world, I think you’d still have a higher winrate than 3%. I don’t think I could lose 40 consecutive QP games if I tried. I don’t believe you, I’m sorry

Probably exaggeration, I am on a 10-12 loss streak in QP, but on a win streak in comp.

qp is more sweaty and try hard than comp these days

On my F2P account I’m a little over 50%. I think you may be rusty. I play every day.

I’m just getting nothing but crossplay games. It’s been a good 20 games since I’ve had just a regular PC lobby.

Let me opt out of this garbage Blizzard. :man_facepalming:

yea qp is pretty much hit or miss. Play with a group will help.

Youch. How does that even happen? I’ve never been on a more than 10 game loss streak on QP. In comp, maybe, but in QP?

QP is random AF, while you can get top500 in the enemy team, while you can get newbies in your team, so play it quick and get out!

i been playing this game for a little while now and doing a lot of QP and some Comp matches. it seems the match making is almost similar to blizzards WoW battlegrounds , you have a pug team vs a premade team almost all the time. both games dont seem to be solo Qer friendly for match up.

What does GM mean here?

going 3-7 isn’t something to worry about

Quick Play is pretty much no mmr random matchmaking, some games youre against t500 and your team is LITERALLY bronze, or the other way around
it’s just, not fun
quick play is supposed to be casual but matchmaking is so bad it basically forces people to sweat and tryhard, it sucks for everyone involved

I literally only play qp cuz of how bad comp is

There is no matchmaking in this game. It is not there purposefully to make queue times faster and make the game feel like it has a healthier population than it has. As a quickplay-er with a very similar situation to you, I agree. At this point, things aren’t going to get any better for Overwatch. This is the worst sequel to a former GOTY worthy franchise in history. Anti consumer on every level.
