Overwatch is the only game I’ve ever really played the competitive or ranked mode. I’ve played shooters for decades, but I’ve never really cared about the “sweaty” mode.
When OW launched its comp mode, that is the only mode I played for years. I’m not sure why ranking up became an obsession, but it did. Honestly, it made the game pretty miserable, more like a chore than something I would do for fun.
I didn’t miss a single season of OW 1. After 5v5 took hold, I lost my desire to play. I’m not the biggest fan of the switch, but one thing has made it, and the game in general, more fun—QP.
Quick play is really the only mode that I really play and enjoy now. I guess I have become a QP warrrior, as some would say. I don’t have to worry about a score going up and down after each match. I don’t have to worry about leavers, throwers, players having a bad game, or alts or smurfs (the worst of the worst are alts and smurfs. Play your main account only).
QP has made OW more enjoyable.

I enjoyed this story. 
Since the beginning, I was always a QP Warrior. The intensity of Comp never really did it for me.

I have like 1,000 hrs on QP. I wished there was Unranked points to get colored weapon skin. Another thing i wish there was a rejoin button incase i get disconnected.

I’m a quickplay warrior through and through. My friends will do competitive but I’ll just play something else when they do.
Fun fact, in marvel Rivals if you lose two quickplay matches in a row you get put into a loser que vs bots. I didn’t want to believe it at first but it’s true.
Overwatch devs, please do NOT go this route! I refuse to play rivals because of that loser que. It’s only quickplay yada yada, but I’m playing PvP still and not PvE.

There’s a reason that since OW launch I only have 300 hours in competitive and 3000+ in QP Arcade combined.

I haven’t enjoyed QP in years if not with friends because they don’t play ranked. I’ll only play ranked without exception if solo both in OW and rivals currently. I know video games are meant to be leisure but playing QP feels so meaningless to me. I need to see numbers move
