If you want quick to feel more like a casual gameplay then why inforce rules similar to those on competitive? If I don’t want to play it, then I should have a choice not to. If I’m getting stressed about it I should just leave it, It’s QUICK play for crying out loud it’s not like I’m destroying sportmanship by wanting to have fun instead of a 5 minute straight stomp.
Hard disagree. (characters)
You can leave it. No one saws off your hand when you try to press the exit button
Just not too often.
And what if your next match is ‘a complete stomp’?
And the next?
And the one after that?
Are you just going to keep lobby shopping forever?
Leaving one or two games (for whatever reason) is fine, we all have to do it at some point. But when it becomes a habit (to the point where you’re getting timed out by the system) then the games are not the problem.
Either we keep playing, and roll with the punches. Or we quit out and do something else for a while. The moment the matchmaker starts getting to you: it’s time to take a break.
Your initial premise is wrong. They literally said that it is the main mode of Overwatch, not casual freewheeler mode, so any conclusions you reach under the premise that it is supposed to be screw around casual mode are also wrong.
You DO have the right to leave any gamebyou so choose, you just can’t do it consistently and immediately requeue.
You do have a choice to leave without penalty, as long as you do it before the initial character selection screen closes.
Anytime you leave after that point means that you are putting your teammates at a disadvantage, and there needs to be a consequence to you for that.
This is a team-based game, whether that is quick play or comp.
To be completely fair, doesn’t the system time you out on the third attempt in twenty games? I wouldn’t personally consider that serial leaving because sometimes stuff happens. And sometimes when it rains it pours.
