Make the matchmaking more lax and let us actually play the damn game, its called quick play for a reason, this is ridiculous, you have enough players right?
I agree. I don’t know what was changed when it comes to the matchmaking system but I was stuck in a Ten Minutes Queue in a full group of Five. I just want to play some Quick Play but when the play isn’t quick I will have no choice but to refund my Overwatch Season 12 Battle Pass and install another game to play…
Precisely, I bought the premium battle pass and the oni skin line, but I’m really regretting this and I will call up the bank if this continues, seriously. I don’t want to spend money on a game that doesn’t let me play.
I have seen several threads on the forum about this matter, the strange thing is that apparently it is not happening to the entire player base, in my case the queues do not last more than a minute, yesterday the queues for Support were around 3 minutes, but it is understandable with the launch of Juno.
Edit: Apparently I omitted the server, I play in America, the problem may be in the EU servers.
duo,3 stack, 4 stack multiple people flexing, 10+ minute queues tonight. i dont know what they broke but my god.
Join dark side , join OQ, we have less than a minute waiting time and funny games with a lot of creativity
Yeah, i realized that the queue times for duos lately have been insane.
its gonna get worse as the dev team, the balance team and the director are completely BRAINLESS and needs to be replaced im now getting mostly crap teams now like WTF was team 4 thinking
While in a group my oq queues are frequently 15-30 min.
I dont have friends that play Overwatch, for solo its seconds, rarely more than minute
Are you console or pc? Could also be an mmr thing. Im on pc and my solo OQ queues are typically 5-9 min . I wish I had instant queues.
With stacks, it heavily prioritizes trying to match you with stacks of similar size. 5-stack queues can take a while. Even thenz you’re likely to be matched against the same opposing 5-stack repeatedly.

21 Hours ago (at time of writing) puts you at like 10:30PM or later for most of EU, on a Wednesday night. Dog most people are sleeping or winding down for the day. Stacking makes it worse, since it wants to find other stacks of similar MMR values + filling in the gaps with players who match the average MMR. It’s not just player count. Stacking makes it worse and if you’re all very good/very bad it’s harder to find suitable solos/duos.
I mostly solo or duo, at around 6-9PM my time zone, and my QP queues are rarely more than 3 minute (both of us picking DPS, longest possible queue)
Man, you all are quite new to the game. I remember 15 to 20-minute wait times in OW1 back in the day. I wish we still had 5 minute wait times if that means a quality match.
