my win rate is now down to 1% and I’m currently on a 90 game losing streak. In none of those games did my team capture a single point.
please put in some type of system to attempt to make the games somewhat balanced

Been a while since you made one of these
Edit: Nvm I was thinking of someone else lol
the spirit of ethernet is here
You do realize that QuickPlay already has an MMR system in place right? The only difference between QuickPlay and Comp’s matchmaking is that QuickPlay allows for a greater skill gap for faster queue times.
I got you beat, I’ve lost the last 91 games, and my team actually lost a point they captured on the last map.
When I see bronzes and GMs in the same matches… my skepticism for the existence of said system is high.
Have you spent a dime on OW2?
I have theory that the game rigs wins towards players who spend money, so the money spenders have a fun time and stick around to spend more money. The ones who never spend any money are put further and further along the ‘loser queue’ the longer they play without spending anything.
There’s no factual proof of this happening of course, but ActiBlizz has patents that suggest this sort of behavior.
Maybe spend $10 on a skin or the next battlepass and see if your losing streak will magically disappear. Then you can report back and be an anecdote for my curiosity.
I’m highly suspicious of this game because we all get suspicious lag spikes. The ones I get only happen in the middle or start of a teamfight. I will use an ability, watch my ability land, it goes on cooldown, and then magically the last 3 seconds are reset, none of that happened and I find myself either dead or walking into a wall. Abilities never having been used. I’ve witnessed a tank fall down from my sleep dart and start sleeping, for my reality to just be warped and I’m looking at the killcam of the tank that just killed me, who never got slept.
I’ve never seen lag like that in any other game, nor was it in OW1. And this only happens in teamfights when I’m facing an enemy. Never in the spawn room or on the way to the fight. My theory is there is a rigged system in place that favours the latency of the enemy, who is a paying customer.
I used in game credits to purchase the battlepass and saw a drastic drop in those unreal lag spikes. So it might not be actual money, but just having purchased something from in game that can change your position on this rigged win/loss system.
Of course I may just be seeing patterns where there are none. But I trust my eyes and experience over Acti-Blizz any day.
I went down to 40% after one tricking lifeweaver in quickplay during peak-hours. But I’m back to 41% now after playing some QP games during mid-night.
For some reason, peak-hours = almost always a lose streak for me, followed by win streak during non-peak hours.
I’ve always wondered just how low of winrate the matchmaker is willing to give you. Considering it tries to force players to be around 50% (+/- 10%).
MMR adjusts based on how much you play it. And QP MMR is separate from Comp. So, if one person plays comp every day and gets GM they could still have a low MMR in QP. Likewise, someone who plays a lot in QP could have a relatively high QP MMR but maybe they only did placements in comp and aren’t highly ranked yet.
SR follows MMR also and isn’t the same as MMR. MMR is hidden in both modes.
It already has one.
However, It also aims to allow:
As long as quickplay serves these purposes, the expectation of more balanced games should be pretty low.
90? you expect anyone to believe in a coin flip you got heads. 90 times? in a row?
lmao
At 90 games I’m pretty sure there’s a good chance you’d get autofilled on a winning team at the last minute for the free W at some point.
Give me that sort of luck in Genshin Impact and I promise to start volunteering.
And mine not…
Usually it is people claiming that they had GMs against them… Or they faced some one that is unranked as tank but GM support on a tank…
MMR is separate for each and every role you know? So if GM is just playing Support, and then they jump in to QP to play tank for the first time (either with their lowered skilled friends or solo to train and get the gist of a role and heroes) the system doesn’t spot them as GMs
This is just hypothesis… At best if I am really generous!
This is not a statistical anomaly yet…
Just like my statistics professor said at uni: “if you flip a coin 100 times and you get heads 100 times there is nothing suspicious yet. But if you flip a coin 100 million times and you get 100 million heads, you should ask yourself what is wrong with that coin!”
It does although its not as tight as Ranked but in saying that the Ranked matchmaker seems to be buggy or broken where quick play games feel more balanced than Ranked does.
Thats not a statistical anomaly, the number of flips is irrelevant, if you get 100million people flipping a coin 100million times atleast 1 person will flip heads 100million times & another will flip tails 100million times.
Thats…not how statistics work.
She wasn’t…
She just illustrated what a good sample size is!
And 100 tries is not a good sample size.
Was that exaggeration on her part? Yes. But it was to show something! That you need a good sample size before you apply statistical analysis
And since we are pedantic chance is not a %, chance is a fraction!
Also you don’t know proper mathematical notation for that number? Seriously?
I guess if you need greater certainty than a 7.9e-29% margin of error, then thats not a large enough sample size. Me, on the the other hand, who gets paid to use statistics professionally, would say im certain enough that that is an anomaly and the coin is likely not a fair coin.
Have fun flipping that coin another 99 million+ times to come to the same conclusion, though.
