Recently I have been noticing a significant drop in my win rate when i was playing in quick play and I was wondering why.
So I decided to look at my opponent’s profile and discovered that the game puts me up with and against player that have a much higher rank then I do (my ranks is gold and was gold sense season 3).
This is happening in almost every game of quick play that I play I dont know why this is happening and im just trying to have fun with the game but corrently I am being outskilled by my opponents and teammates.
I would like to know why this is happening.

If you want to be matched with people of the same rank, go play competitive dude. QP is a mess.
Quickplay prioritizes quick matchmaking over everything else. Party size and MMR come after that. Competitive is the place to be for matches with players of similar skill.

Quick play is the “Kindergarten” lvl of play.
are you sure about that cause i wait 4-5 mins every time and players are all high plat-gm.
i think he is right.
as a tree league player - my teams are low diamonds up to mid high masters.
QP is just fast and fun games. I find it enjoyable because I’d rather have different skilled people than toxic people flaming everyone but themselves and tilting to the point of throwing.

Competitive Play isn’t a lot better, I swear I’ve had more stomp or be stomped matches in comparison to actual reasonably balanced and challenging matches. However, I am starting to wonder if I should return to Competitive Play again as lately I’ve been having quite a number of loss streaks in QP which have decayed my endorsement level twice now (as rarely teammates will endorse on a loss).

As a new person but not new to gaming,and i have had far more fun in this so far than any other fps game to this date (im 42 years of age).Quick play has been fun and have pit me against higher lvl people in the mix but also has put higher lvl people on my side as well,but lvl really does not determine the outcome…its knowledge of the map,toon,and how to coordinate as a team with random people.Some at times do basicly have no tactical value and that can degrade the team,but hey some are new as well and probably new to fps(whoknows).Skill lvl can determine the outcome also but 1 person isnt going to pull a team if now one is working well together.
I just wish QP would find a game faster though lol.
The entire game isn’t playable. I haven’t even finished placements because I’m not sure I even want to. 5 games in I’ve had leavers in three different games.
Avoid weekends, they tend to be the worst matches in my experience.
I’ve never had to wait that long for a match. I mostly play on PS4, though. Even in the middle of the day, though, it’s less than 2 minutes for me. Not sure what to tell you.

Just play like youre an idiot in quick play. That’s fun to me and you will be surprised how many wins you’ll get
this is definitely true. i found the best time to play is weekdays early in the morning. the amount of time people attempt to make an actual comp in qp is shockingly surprising.

What’s your server, and when is you play (please use GMT, PDT, or something) ? I get between 30 seconds and 2 minutes usually (EU, GMT+2, during morning or beginning of afternoon)
I literally stopped playing comp because i realized there was nothing competitive about it, is just stomp or be stomped, the system is horrible at measuring the skill of players, i have much better games in QP than in competitive which is weird but it’s true, ever since i started playing QP with LFG the game is just fantastic.

my fav time is usually late day like around 7pm until i get tired of it because i have to work in the morning.I probably play a couple hours a day in the afternoon and a few on weekends.
EU and gmt. usually play 10-2pm and/or 6pm-onwards and is always at least 2 mins wait, with all my accounts. when the game had the free weekend i made another account just to see if it was mine connection or something and i found games in 20 seconds which was amazing but as soon as i hit lvl 10 up the matchmaking mmr whatever must do something and it starts to take at least 2 mins again.
I know the worst time to play is right after a comp season ends, because all the higher ranked players will go into quick play and arcade for the time being.
There are two reasons. First of all, your MMR is likely above gold, by how much, nobody knows. Maybe it is as simple as platinum instead or maybe in a QP environment you just shred the competition which is feasible as nobody really takes it seriously. Whatever. The second and more relevant reason is that the player-base is bleeding out and in order to keep queue times down, it has to expand the search to higher level players. I would say it is natural; however, I do not really believe that is the case so much as they mismanaged this game so egregiously that we are having a rapid decline.
