Tried quick play for some xp challenges. Oh dear… Aimboters in every single game.
no thanks, at least competitive have like 50/50% aimbot problem, but quick play 100%.

Yeah, the game is rancid and packed full of aimbots. Of course they will tell you
“nobody cheats in this game” ™
To them its “just” what is known as “aim assist”.
there is becoming droves of players today that rely on aim assistance because they just flatout cant aim or learn to do anything in life. So we get degenerates in games like these, that see these types of games. They want to be at the same level of “professional” gamers, and start a streaming channel. And instead of practicing to get better, the first thing they do is run out and buy or download something to make them look like they are great at the game. When they clearly cannot aim.
most online games are saturated to the point where they are not playable if the game is some form of PVP. I finally had to quit pvp games all together, especially ones that are free access because there is virtually on way on earth for them to ever get a handle on the problem

i thought ranked was infested with them, but unranked is every single game with at least 1-2 aimbotters.

Dude I feel you. I’m sure they will come for this thread to derail or have it buried quick. The amount of cheaters in this game is extreme now. I love this game. I really do. I know a lot of people feel the same way we do about the problem, and I know the higher ups know exactly how bad it is. It makes me wonder how devs can talk about (average accuracy) when xim and aimbots are so prevalent. Isn’t data being used to balance the game? Isn’t this directly skewing the data? Makes no sense to me, and also makes no sense that they would even have the gall to keep talking like it isn’t an issue at all.
Good news is the problem is so widespread in all fps pvp, that there will be something done about it down the line. The voices are rising up about it, and in time we will see a more enjoyable game scape for us all.
To the cheaters that read this: the problem you create in this form is only a reflection of the problem that is inside of you. You can try, but you can never escape yourself. When this all comes to a head and your identity shatters, let go and heal. I know you are people, just like everyone. Being fair to others is being fair to yourself.

where are you guys playing? I rarely see aimbotters. Unless I am just smoking the crap out of aimbotters which I doubt… Maybe one in every like 15 or more even games do i see someone with “somewhat” weird aim. I have rarelyyyyyy seen a rage hacker.

I assume it’s because nobody believes anyone when they call it out. Every single time I’ve called out an obvious aimbotter, nobody believes me because “it’s just qp why would anyone cheat in qp? LOL ur just bad and mad you got diffed, keep malding”
If you play Sombra it becomes very obvious how many cheaters in QP there are, people blatantly shooting at your head out of nowhere while you’re invis and never gave yourself away.

last person I saw was a random torb who had a super weird aim when I tried tanking on ball and even then I told my team he had “weird” aim and most just blamed me for being a crap tank. But honestly it was like one in like so many matches. I’m curious how many people actually run into are actually hacking because I have i’m sure it’s not as many as people think. Some probably but not as many as people think.
QP has made me suspicious of every Hanzo with great aim I see now, since I’ve encountered so many that were cheating.
Istg Hanzo is THE go to cheating character.

I just give most people a benefit of the doubt because it takes a lottt to beat me in a match, most of the time it takes multiple swaps on a team to contest me and I just don’t really see people very often with super “suspicious aim”. when I do it’s pretty painfully obvious because of how their aim/mouse tracks almost perfectly but even then I just tell people it looks weird.
edit: i just wish people were more willing to post codes when they said they think people are hacking/suspicious. but most never do.

Most Sombreros don’t realize how predictable they are, and that you can hear them. They walk into my blind spam occasionally too.

The worst part is that often the funding gained from these bots goes towards other dark stuff since many of the cheat makers will be living in Russia, China, Ukraine, etc. I’m always surprised by how many people actually buy these cheats given they run as drivers 99% of the time (at least for OW2) and thus are likely spying on you, stealing your files, potentially sniffing your account info, etc. Your computer will likely be used in DDOS botnets since its a side-revenue for cheat makers.
Game companies generally do not want to allocate resources towards game security unless they’re absolutely forced to. It’s a shame that game quality is ruined in attempts to maximize “shareholder value” by running skeleton crews in security departments.

Nah, I’m talking about like… you’re behind a wall near the enemy’s spawn completely stationary and invis, their Soldier sprints out, turns the corner and immediately starts shooting into your face.
Or you’re following behind the enemy Hanzo about 25 meters away and invis, he suddenly stops, flicks to behind him and hits you in the head.

That’s when I’ve really noticed it. I played one the other night where I was invisible on numbani and about to come up the ramp on attack while the rest of the team came up the middle by the bus, and a Cassidy pops out from around the corner at the top and starts headshotting me. I thought ok, maybe it’s a fluke, lucky shot but he kept doing it over and over even from a distance. Cheaters are so ridiculously obvious when you play Sombra.

The first one, definitely bullcaca. The Hanzo, I’ve been that Hanzo a couple times by sound. One time on Oasis Gardens, i heard her down in one of the little side rooms that are opposite the objective on both sides with Kiriko, shot two knives in the center of the door and nailed her in the noodle. I ferret invis Sombras out often. There’s only so many places that make sense to be, so unless they aren’t looking to engage, they are there somewhere and they can be heard. That pretty much gives it away.
