Not sure if this is possible on the backend but it would be nice to be able to queue for both competitive systems simultaneously just to get a game as soon as possible.

I don’t think they should do that. It’s unnecessary. You’re asking to join one competitive mode or the other…
I had the same thought. We already can queue for 3 different roles at the same time, so it should not be a problem to queue for another mode too.
It actually could be useful for other modes besides competetive. Like quick play or arcades. E.g. when we have Archive missions available, there’re basically 8 different queues for one mission - 4 for each difficulty in story mode and 4 for each difficulty in all heroes mode. Let’s say I don’t really care if I play on hard or expert, I just want faster queue. Parallel search would be useful.

You would usually end up in Open Comp as there is rarely any wait time…much like queuing for a tank in RQ used to be.

If you want a game as soon as possible, queue for tank in RQ. If you don’t want to play tank but still want a game right now, queue for OQ. Queueing for everything at once is just going to give you tank games virtually all the time.
