PAYLOAD SPEED:
Here are some basic facts, the payload moves faster forward with respect to the number of players on / near it, while on offense:
1 player : 100% payload speed
2 players : 116.5% payload speed
3 players : 133% payload speed
Questions:
- What is the actual rate of movement of the payload (meters/second)?
- Does the payload speed differ from map to map?
- What is the actual rate of movement of the payload pushing backwards (meters/second)?
ROBOT (aka TW-1) PUSH SPEEDs:
Here are facts about the speed of TW-1 robot, and how it differs from payload speeds:
TW-1 (robot) has 2 speeds:
Sprinting (not pushing barricade)
Pushing (pushing barricade)
ā¦both are NOT affected by the number of players near it. Only 1 player is needed to maximize either speedās full potential
QUESTIONS:
What is the actual rate of movement of TW-1 sprinting (meters/second)?
What is the actual rate of movement of TW-1 pushing (meters/second)?
Does the speed of TW-1 differ from map to map?
I recall someone saying that the top speed of the robot is equal to that of the default 5.5m/s speed of most of the cast.
Definitely donāt know this one, aside from āslow as BALLSā.
Probably not. Nothing concrete for evidence, though.

Ty for your reply.
Hereās another thing I noticed just today that I donāt believe is intentional⦠but serves as great intel
On Robot (aka TW-1) maps, youāll notice at the top bar (that indicates the progression of the robot), next to the icon itself (regardless of which way itās being pushed), is THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS STANDING NEAR THE PAYLOAD, despite 1 being the maximum itās needed to be pushed
For example, the game today, when I noticed the enemy pushing the robot (FROM SPAWN AND OUT OF SIGHT, personally), it kept jumping back and forth between 1 to 3 basically indicating 1 to 3 enemy players were near the Robot. Stranger though is if this was intentional, why Ive never seen that number go above 3 (despite the other team obviously having 5 players)
Additionally, and in all fairness, I didnāt thoroughly test or ask teammates if they actually had vision on the robot (in a sense where those numbers I was reading at the top were being relayed semi-automatically). I feel itās moreso likely Blizzardās mistake when producing Overwatch 2 and utilizing the payload progress bar as a template, but didnāt see to change it?
I mean, unless it is truly one of my teammateās actually having vision on the Robot w/ enemies near it, thereās really no good reason why the other team should or be capable of knowing how many are near it, no?
It does, as does the āhold timeā at certain checkpoints.
You can use the unofficial wiki:

The payload also heals attacking players. the Push bot does not.
The number of players will be displayed at the top of the screen each team when near the payload, 3 is the max speed, but the number can still display more. Up to 6 including Asheās ultimate BOB.
The same for the psuh robot, but his max speed is 1.
