Questions about Overwatch 2

So Overwatch 2 needs some clarification. anybody reading this may respond with questions of your own or answers.

  1. Release Date - When is this thing going to come out!? I really want to play this game!

  2. Price - A lot of people have been saying that the PvP will be free but not the PvE. How much will the PvE cost to play? Will you be able to purchase missions individually?

I will be updating this whenever I get a new question in my mind.

Please do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money on that trash. Ow2 pve is horrible and incredibly boring/repetitive. A slightly improved version of the pve in ow1 which is also garbage but at least it’s free so even if it sucks it’s not a big deal

This is something that will cost money that is garbage and that’s not ok. They are neglecting ow1 in order to spend all their time working on boring nonsense. Don’t get caught up in the hype, watch the gameplay they showed and see ow2 pve for what it is: a boring waste of time.

  1. Noone really knows the date.
  2. Noone really knows the price (despite a store MightApe selling it for AU$88 preorder)

Have a nice day and welcome to Overwatch forums.

Blizzard hasn’t determined answers to either of those questions for themselves yet, let alone publicly. It will probably be several months before we hear those decisions.

Seems like someone didn’t enjoy Archieves as much as how I did

We don’t know yet. Play station Brazil leaked 2020 but I expect it to be may 2021

Can’t tell either. It may be cheaper for ow 1 owners but who knows
I just hope it doesn’t go over $30

Quit trying to force your opinions on people in threads that aren’t even related to the quality of OW2. Make your own thread if you want to spread your negativity.

To quote Jeff Kaplan…

Source: Page Not Found - BlizzCon (free to watch)

This is not accurate, anyone who already owns a license for Overwatch 1 will be able to access all PVP modes including the new core gamemode “Push” and all new heroes. Anyone who buys Overwatch 2 will get access to both PVP and PVE (even if they do not own Overwatch 1).

Damn when did you get to play it?

Please don’t support poor development practices.
The current game has gotten no attention when there is so much wrong with it.
Why would you buy a 2nd game from the same people?

Don’t you recognize trash when you see it. How many times have you seen a pile of garbage that you went over to touch and smell in order to confirm that it’s garbage? There’s no need for something so obvious.

All I’m saying is that everything we saw was alpha gameplay. If it’s trash when it comes out I’ll call it that

Didn’t you know? We’re not allowed to have other opinions than it’s garbage til proven otherwise anymore. It’s the unspoken rule of some parts of the community.

There are many games which look like crap, but if you play them or have actual good footage they are great.
“It’s not my cup of tea” doesn’t equal the fact “the game will be trash”

I just don’t get it why people invest so much energy in hating, they could just leave and do something better with their life

That is their “something better with their life”. It’s not great, but it is. lol

I hope it wil be fun but I think ur right PvE wil be like klicking on bots.

Well, yeah, literally.
If you like the Archives modes though, you’ll definitely like OW2 as it’s basically an improved, optimised version of those modes.

Clicking on bots is the whole point of PvE in any game

You really expect the game to be significantly better at launch than what we already saw?

If that’s the case you’re in for a letdown. It’s going to be boring repetitive garbage, killing waves of dumb enemies with some dialogue and cut scenes sprinkled in so there’s a “story.”

They even said it themselves, the point of the pve is replayability, doing the same missions over and over again, which will be mind numbingly dull and a waste of time.

Is the new hero before ow2 going to get a skin redo and current skins going to remain the same or be adapted to future looks

Actually Jeff himself mentioned the story missions (Which is what was shown at Blizzcon) are not expected to contain the highly replayable content.
Those are the hero missions.

I would expect them to. I think I even heard the heroes released with OW2 will have an OW2 redesign too.
