Questions about LFG groups for comp

I have a question about using LFG tool for creating comp groups:
When someone creates a group for comp, in the search results the header for the group shows +/- 150 or similar, which obviously refers to a SR bracket.

However, does this +/- X bracket center on the SR of the creator’s SR? SR of the grp creator +/- 150? Is there anyway to see whether the rating is higher or lower than my own? I personally don’t want to join a team with greatly different SR to my own, but there’s just no way to know since most people have private profiles. Some groups have crazy SR bracket like +/- 800 that I just saw… There is also no way to know the answer to my question with private profiles.

If the bracket is red, does it mean I cannot queue with the group? Why is the game showing that group in my search results then when the group is intended for comp…?

Private profiles make things so hard.

I have the exact same question! I can’t seem to find an explination anywhere. I want to try and climb out of bronze but with +/- 150 I’m stuck with the same old people who won’t try and won’t listen to advise for team comp and callouts during game. Can I join a red comp group in the hopes I’ll be with some higher SR people who may know what they’re doing a little better? Again private profiles are fine, but when I’m trying to figure out who I can actually group with seeing others SR is kinda important. =/

I believe it centers around the creator.

Also, no one knows what the colors mean. It can’t mean no queue, since people have seen red on their own groups before.
