Question for Devs about OWL skins and game refunds

Please note before reading this thread that it is only for those on Blizzard’s side. I do not wish to argue opinion with other players as I have already done that.

The issue: When Overwatch was originally advertised, it was made well known that all skins in the game were able to be acquired with loot-box acquired credits and no real-life purchases. For a while, this was true! The only exception was the first summer-games event, but that’s ok. It was soon fixed.

However! With the addition of Overwatch League skins, this is no longer the case, as you cannot acquire them from loot-box given credits OR from loot boxes themselves. You must use OWL tokens, which are very hard to acquire, as you must watch a stream (or fork over money).

This original guarantee is the reason I purchased Overwatch. But now, I feel lied to. I have made two refund requests, and both have denied me, telling me to visit these forums. I can provide the 1st reply and the 2nd conversation if needed. I can also provide a link proving the change and when it happened if required, but I know everyone there is already aware of the change.

Please answer why this change was taken against the Overwatch customers, and why it is OK in your eyes to do so, and if I can get a refund like I desire.

You could just accept that you’ve had fun with this game and move on, or demand an impossible refund.

Up to you, each to their own. This gave me a good laugh; so thanks for that!

You clearly did not read my topic or anything else in it. I do not want to talk with non-staff. Please remove your comment.

you dont get to tell people they cannot talk to you on a open forum. If you want to talk to only blizzard directly please call or email them. They also changed there agreements and the nature of online games are contently changing over the years. This change doesnt stop you from playing, you can still get most of the content and all legendary skins in game so it shouldnt be a problem. They do offer a 90 day warranty so even if this was a legit issue, you would still not fall with in range for a refund. I mean silver 2 makes me think this is a troll post…

I was told twice by Blizzard support that this is an issue I must talk to the devs with. I talked with customer support twice, and have had this issue for over two months. Furthermore, Blizzard broke false advertisement laws when they changed their policies AFTER the game was out and sold many copies. If I get no reasonable resolution through support or through their question forums, I could try to pursue legally.

Just as an FYI, the devs do not frequently track posts in technical support. This forum is for handling technical support queries such as disconnections and crashes. Consider posting in the General Discussion forum.
