Mercy hides with ult she gets reworked and is now the worst support in the game
Zen hides with ult he’s praised and he’s been meta since season 4 somehow never dropping out of being one of the best 6 heroes in the game with no changes in sight.
They were both put into being meta heroes at the same time which was when Ana was nerfed in season 3. Season 4 Zen became an amazing support and Lucio was being used as a main healer for a while until people realized Mercy fit better in dive comp with her mobility.
Fast forward, streamers began to complain about something in the game that they themselves screamed at when their Mercy would not do. Hiding to rez. If a Mercy did not do this she would be screamed at, she would be called horrible things, she would be reported and she would be avoided. Any other support is glorified for hiding and thanked but Mercy is not? Anyways.
P.S my name is a joke if you comment on it your opinion means nothing.

That’s because Zenyatta ults DURING the fight, not after it like Mercy.

I didn’t know Zen waits for all his teammates to die and then ults wow gonna tell my buddy about it, he’s been playing Zen the wrong way the whole time.

Cause a good Zen ult is a proactive way to win a fight, not a reactive way to erase the enemy team having outfought you and won.
Seems like a pretty clear distinction to me.

Did they rework transcendence so that it now brings back your dead teammates after being wiped by multiple enemy ults? No way! Better start playing Zen again! /s

When has Zenyatta ever hid with ult? If he gets pressured he normally just ults to save himself (this is pretty good counterplay, actually. It’s how you bait out transcendence)

the best use of trance is to use it to get back from spawn faster EuE

Because zen ult has counter play and he has to time it perfectly. mercy ? she just hides and press Q anytime she feels like it.

Not gonna lie, when I first started playing OW I thought Zen’s ult revived people …for some reason

I actually figured out why OP is comparing both after looking at their hours…
This is directed to OP:
Gonna give ya a lesson about supports well Zen the only condition that Zen hides and leaves his teammates… is to avoid EMP that is literally the only condition for him to leave his teammates and hide, even still the sombra has a choice whether to look for him first while having infinite stealth and kill him before emping but yeah I guess that’s why you believe all Zen’s hide cause your most picked hero is Sombra.

The comments make the thread of the OP look painful. Kinda confirms my suspicion that the loud ones have barely played anything else but Mercy.
I love it.

Technically mirko, rez only works if someone is dead
I didn’t knew Zen can bring people back from the dead.

First of all, Mercy’s old ult and Zenyatta’s are two different ults. One LITERALLY could bring back, with full HP mind you, certain amounts of souls dead on the battlefield ranging from 1-6 while the other needs to protect them and that is it. Whoever dies, is dead.

Oh wait, I recognize this name. I think it’s bait. Almost got me there buddy
Add in “the most dominant support for over a year” somewhere between rework and now so we can be less revisionist about our history.

For some reason, the “rez only works someone is dead” part reminded me of a joke about stealth games
“Nobody can detect you if everyone’s dead”
And then I thought about Sombra lol
