Question about getting reported

Hello There.

So I had a match in comp and I was sadly doing not so good in it. And after that some players insulted me and said that they will report me. Will I now get banned and if yes for how long? And if I get banned can I create a new account and keep playing with that on my Ps5?

Sorry if my english is bad or the questions seem dumb. I am just kinda worried now for getting reported by players :<

Should be fine. Counts as a single report, regardless of the number.

You’ll probaby get some people in here talking up the report system and saying your account is screwed but it’s fine. Unless you are pissing people off many many matches in a row, nothing will happen.

Source: 8 year old account here, been reported, still standing.

You have to be reported by a lot of people over a lot of games to get as much as a warning. You don’t have anything to worry about.

I’m borderline toxic many times (here and in game) and have never gotten as much as a warning. If I’m still here, it shows you need to do a lot to get banned

From my understanding you would have to get multiple reports before any action is taken, so if it just one malding guy, then I wouldn’t worry lol

You will get immediately perma IP banned across all platforms and accounts.

Contacting support is like screaming into space. No one can hear you.

Congratulations. You can now experience life outside in the sunshine.

Be free…be free…

Probably wont get banned over one mad player reporting you. But you could make a new account on the same PS5 and keep playing.

I think it were around 2-3 people that reported me. As long as the other tean didnt report me lol

You have to have people report you over multiple games for anything to happen, and 3 people on the other team reporting you only counts as one report, to avoid groups abusing it.

I’ve played almost since OW launched in 2016, people say they report me all the time and I’ve never had anything happen

Nobody really knows how the system works, but it takes repeated reports over multiple games to cause any action. The only exception would be abusive chat, and, in those cases, they have evidence from the chat logs and voice transcripts.
