People talk about these like it’s so easy to do so I thought I’d try on Xbox. Made new account, everyone had default skins as expected, so I wanted to go back to my main and the battle net website is warning me that there’s a one-year cooldown after I link it back to my Xbox. Am I missing something because what is the point of this?
afaik in ovw1 era there used to be a possibility of making unlimited alts on console after buying the game once but i have nvr played console so idk the specifics of that
i don’t think that’s an option anymore like you experienced
now on pc as long as you make a new email to make a new battle.net acc it’s very easy to make an alt(i don’t think you even need a phone nr to authenticate it but idk - and at some point you could remove phone # and attach it to another acc and have both work)
i hope this answers your question
I just made a new alt when someone said you needed a phone number.
Made a new (free) xbox live account. Made a new Blizz account on the mobile website. Linked the Blizz account to the new xbox account. I was in the training arena in like 5 mins total.
Maybe I delete this so someone doesn’t get reminded to make another new smurf
Why did you even rebind the account?
You just had to make a new one.
I am not sure about consoles, but on pc you need a phone number. You can make the bnet account and skip the phone number part. But when you try and log into overwatch it won’t let you without a phone number tied to the account.
New console account
New Blizz account
Takes like maybe a few minutes. Also most boosters buy premade accounts.
Gotcha, yea I think they forgot to check a box somewhere along the line requiring this for console
Or maybe it’s on purpose. Just like back when it was a paid game, console players could keep making new accounts for free after the one purchase. Where pc had to re buy it each time. Or could just be a bug, but seems like a pretty important one if they wanted less Smurfs.
Yea maybe they know some people share consoles across a household. Infinity is a bit excessive imo but hey
