Made an alt just to see how I stack up one tricking Lucio on the first fresh account I’ve made in 5 years.
Im almost done with the quickplay games sitting at a 70 percent win rate and haven’t rage quit a single time.
Almost every backfill game I get put into my team turns around and wins easily.
What happening is kids are just weak and want to get carried that’s why they lobby shop.
Proof is in the pudding. Any halfway decent player can go into these backfill lobbies and turn the game around almost immediately at least half the time unless thrown in right at the end of the game forcing priority queue and not counting against win/loss.
What I don’t understand about these players is if you don’t want to ever learn how to play Overwatch to get better and can’t play unless getting hard carried why even play at all?
There’s single player games that provide easy mode challenge where you don’t have to keep flipping through games trying to fight the suspension system to get that.
In Overwatch itself there’s a vs AI mode which does that.
So what gives?

I mean, if i’m chilling after work and jump into QP and get a flashpoint map, i’m out of there. I play QP to have fun and if i’m not having fun i’m leaving. It’s only QP, who’s taking it that seriously

Even with the leaver penalty, leavers are still an endemic issue. I played two QP games last night and I’m not exaggerating when I say the enemy team had a total of 6 leavers in one game. Their entire team was replaced by the end of the match. My team wasn’t even beating them badly by any means, but the leavers created a snowball effect.
It truly blows my mind how many people post on these forums asking for the leaver penalties to be removed. Just like the droves of people who begged for role queue not to be added, because they would miss the “creativity,” which is code for wanting to instalock DPS every game and have near-instant queues. People railing against leaver penalties are just straight up selfish players that make the game worse for everyone, but pretend they have some altruistic reason for wanting the leaver penalty gone.

Leavers make it difficult for everyone else in the lobby to have fun. Those who aren’t cool with chronic leavers aren’t taking quickplay too serious, they want to have fun just like you want to have fun and it’s hard to do that with a 4 man team.

In QP it’s hilarious seeing kids that are terrible leave getting filled with players that come in and help win.
The last game I just played some Sojourn with 10 deaths in 5 minutes quit. He was the only player on my team doing poorly. Everyone else was fine. He just wasn’t getting carried hard enough apparently.
The game backfilled. Gave us a better DPS. We proceeded to roll the enemy team for an easy win.
I guess people are just gonna say he just didn’t like the map, amirite?
Ok. Then why didn’t he quit out immediately and instead decided to hang around and die 10 times in 5 minutes?

who even cares anymore like aimbotters control everything heck ive had aimbotter on my team basically destroy all confidence ive had with in myself ever since that match im doing super bad ive even apologized to the opponents because one of the teammates was aimbotting
If you don’t have fun unless getting carried why not just play vs AI mode instead?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen one player who is toxic flame our whole team while we’re getting creamed, then they leave, get replaced and all of a sudden we start stomping the enemy team. I’m always tempted to message these people like “you were the problem btw” lol

I need something to get me up to that GM here.
I never leave a game. I usually win. People give up too early. It happens in comp. Someone will say, “GG” when the game just started. Then we end up winning.
