Having the ability to opt out of deathmatch or a custom game while in queue with a party would greatly improve QoL while waiting for a game. Some of the people I play with regularly like to go into deathmatch and custom games the second we start waiting for a match, I and a few others prefer to read, talk or make a playlist. Being forced into DM or a custom game is really noisy and just annoying and I do not want to ask my friends to do not do it, that would be unfair and rude. I understand this may not seem like a big deal but it is extremely frustrating for people like myself. I also fail to understand how the “leave game” and “leave queue” buttons both TAKE YOU OUT OF PARTY AND QUEUE.

Actually, yeah. I also tend to read in between games, and DM is pretty annoying

I mostly agree though I’m not sure if it’s widespread enough to make it worth it to add a feature like that. When I played with friends I just told them I’m gonna afk and read or do something else while in queue which I never thought of as rude at all personally. Or just not say anything, and just afk and mute the game (sometimes still talking in the discord call or whatever) which was still a bit annoying to have to do but not a huge deal
