PvE and future queue concern

This occurs to me recently that overwatch has too many modes. The number of players is declining (queue times started to rise even on weekend’s prime time, at least in SEA), current queue spreads between QP-RQ, QP-OQ, comp-RQ, comp-OQ, and many Arcade modes.

And with the release of PvE campaign and i assume several PvE modes this number will spread even thinner. I couldn’t imagine how worst queue time will be let alone the potential of imbalance matchmaking due to not having enough players. We’ve experienced this before with seasonal pve events where queue time is worst with these modes.

The dev needs to eliminate some of the least popular Arcades and just move everything to Casual cards. In SEA Arcades is even unplayable because nobody plays them (20min no-limit queue and still couldn’t get a match). I haven’t been able to finish “win 5 arcades” weekly challenge since season 2 because of this issue.

It is puzzling, but whatever, I will let them cook. If they think having 20 modes is healthy for queue times, right on!

They should just limit arcades to 1-2 modes that will rotate daily and move them to casual/qp card. And maybe remove RQ & OQ and rework them to fit the middle ground.

The PVE will almost definitely have AI teammates, so queues shouldn’t be that much of an issue.

Where’s the fun in that…

I’d say not having to wait for an hour in queue is pretty fun
