Most players I’ve watched play on streams, and players I’ve met in game despise push mode. Some even hate it more than 2CP.
So What now? The developers have set a precedent by listening to players complaining about 2CP and removed it, does it mean push is next? Otherwise, it’ll show some extreme bias towards things, and that’s not good in the long run.
Either bring back 2CP or remove push.

Yeaaah … It’s a no from me.
Push is a really fun mode imo and I always look forward to it when it comes on.

I have to say it: 2CP haters were a very vocal minority. I rarely see anyone liking Push and genuinely never seen an Esperanca match where no one quit.
A slow paced game mode doesn’t belong to a fast paced game. Maybe if we would have a meta similar to GOATs sustain again then it would be more enjoyable but with Dive? Nah.

2CP was more fun to play and more balanced design wise compared to push. It seems like so many aspects of this ‘sequel’ are a downgrade.

We’ll just keep removing things till we have the equivalent of DE_dust2… over … and over… and over.

I mean, given that 24/7 de_dust2 servers are usually at capacity, it’s fair to say that FPS players will prefer to learn absolutely nothing new and just play one map for the rest of eternity.
The moral of the story is that push is good, 2CP is good.

Would having the robot teleport to the center. After like a KOTH capture point tick system. Be a way to fix one of the time waste of walking back.
Wouldn’t solve it. It would solve the down time to get to the wall, but the amount of distance would still be very difficult to overcome. Push maps are generally very open and there’s no real spawn advantages like payload maps.
It won’t only look kinda weird and out of place, but also won’t solve much as your team will still have to run back after the fight
I like that feeders always self-nominate by ranting about how much they hate Push.
Push is fine.

It would help, but not solve it. Map design is an issue in this mode.
What is pretty bad is… when a team takes the lead, the game tells the now losing team the exact amount of distance they need to advance it before it will acknowledge them as taking the lead (which gives the winning team even more opportunity to swing it back.)
What should happen is that any movement progress beyond where the enemy team got it to, should count as you have taking the lead.
I sure hope they look into it as early as the mid-season patch, i dont see how the situation gets any better without mechanic reworks to heavily reduce the winner bias or comeback mechanics.
I have more fun playing Push than the 2CP.

Yeah, where the game permits it (qp), I leave push before the match starts, I noticed others do it as well.
Be careful though, if we keep complaining about it like we do about sojourn, they might nerf junkrat again.

I do think Push is salvageable, but it does need work, just like 2CP! I think the worst aspects of 2CP were brought out by specific maps—generally, the mode itself was fine on maps like Volskaya or Anubis, just maps like HLC & Paris where it was harrowing.
Blizzard should bring back 2CP, and they should make adjustments to Push

Push needs a bit of work, as it’s too easy to snowball. Changing the robot’s speed based on the distance it needs to cover to get to the other barricade might help.

Did anyone actually enjoy push maps? All I’ve seen was criticism. And none of those maps will leave next season, instead, they’re taking away good and fun maps

They need to heavily modify how the gamemode works you have to spend so much time returning the robot to equal ground that the enemy team is already there to contest you moving it the first few meters.

I’ll take Push over 2CP any day. Those maps were torture!! Push has its downsides, but I don’t hate it.

My problem with Push is mostly just the chaotic nature of the mode. Everyone is just kinda running everywhere and there is no sense of teamwork. I think this has a lot to do with the map designs. They encourage nonstop flanking from every direction. There is no way to predict where people are coming from so people just sort of run off.
I think even just a bit of adjusting to the maps could resolve a lot of issues honestly.
That being said 2cp was my favourite mode so I would love to have it back.
