Push is just unfun

Does anyone else feel the same way? Push is basically a walking simulator because of how long it is in a large map.

If your team are losing its bloody awful lol.

Walking simulator like playing OG WoW again.

If you are winning then it’s pretty good

I enjoy it, it can be frustrating at times but I still enjoy it. Ill gladly do 8-10 games back to back playing push than do 1 game of 2cp.

I agree, its not very fun on the loosing side since you have to walk long distances and you pretty much forced to play fast moving heroes. Its just a bad concept overall for this reason.

i prefere… 2cp for sure… it had some amazing maps like hanamura e vaskaya, even templo of noobs ( unpopular opinion but i loved lunar colony )

push is just the most boring game os tug of war i ever played… i think it has workse snowball problemns then 2cp

Push is imo the best game mode OW has ever had, my only problem with it is all the maps for Push are terrible. Not a fan of “swiss cheese” map design a la modern Call of Duties and Titanfall 2. I think choke points are underrated

I hate the Push gamemode and maps, 80% of the time I leave before it even starts.

I rather like the push mode. I like that the matches last long and I really dig the new maps. Only gripe I have is that they are very snowbally and once you’re losing by several meters it’s really hard to comeback from. Very stompy game at times…but let’s be honest that’s most matches in OW nowadays.

WalkSim provides lots of time to type snark into chat. That’s kinda fun.

I think it’s my favourite mode right now, maybe cuz it still feels fresh, not sure yet.

But it does not feel like a walking simulator to me in any way.

If the mode actually allowed bigger team sizes i think it could be fun. Like if it was 8v8 10v10 or even 12v12. There would be life and chaos all around the map. But it’s just so big, empty and boring in 5v5.

So odd that they have made a game on an engine in 2022, that supposedly cannot handle more than 6v6. TF2 is a old POS yet it can easily support and run 12v12

I dislike push because it just takes the whole snowball problem that 2CP had and makes it even worse. Instead of having both points taken instantly when you get snowballed on 2cp, you now get to just go back and forth for 10 minutes until the game ends. The 1st fight basically determines the outcome of the game. Win first fight, get all your ults, use ults to steam roll 2nd fight and get forward spawn, lose 3rd fight because enemy team has ults, lose forward spawn, get ults 4th fight and win and get forward spawn again, repeat until game ends.

I like the maps. Tons of flanks, a lot of vertical cover, and with all the shortcuts in it, there is not much walking going on until you engage the enemy.

The mode itself is more meh, but it is not because of the maps or the fighting, but the mode itself actually does not encourage you to play it to the end.
All you do is, if you are winning a fight, push as much until you lose, then hold a favorable position and the enemy never can come back. You actually should not push it to the end, as the enemies spawn advantages become way too much, but rather keep the fight in a neutral position, or where you have spawn advantage and just let the timer run out.

also the close respawn thing is broken af, whoever takes the first checkpoint gets a massive upperhand because they just spawn closer

I Don’t mind it but those long trips back need to change >_< I feel like I’m in an open world game trying to reach some far off village to deliver a monsters left nut or something.

I think that’s a good summary of it. I really enjoy escorting the robot, but the walk of shame feels really bad.

Also since it’s such a large map the team staggering is AWFUL. It takes way too long to regroup, and half the time people don’t even try to.

I really enjoy the game mode but there is something about New Queens Street that Rubs me the wrong way.
