Just leaving this here to let whoever might want these emotes that they are locked behind the Shop for 1000 Coins each. They were locked throughout the previous seasons. Puppy is now available at the shop.
You cannot use Credits for them even through the Gallery.
They know where the money is, doesnt matter that these emotes are a few years old.
KATT still seems locked to me, can’t find it in the shop.
Not so long after the launch of OW2, some event-non standard cosmetics like e,motes, vp, o even skins were locked and you could only buy them when the appeared in the shop, slowly without telling anyone, they unlocked event cosmetics (I have a couple of threads about this), and now pretty much 99% of all cosmetics, even event ones, are unlocked.
If I remember correctly, once I saw the Puppy emote being sold in the shop in those times, and when that happened, you could go to hero gallery and actually buy them with credits, shame monetization team seems to not lower the greedy, and now you can’t even buy it with credits anymore.
do you know what the truth is? that the ow2 shop is a marketing disaster, in terms of information, offers and loyalty. sometimes legacy content is available, other times not, other times only in credits, and then maybe magically you find them as Twitch rewards, prime gaming, etc., then magically you find them in legacy bundles that can be spent in credits (happened with rein), and a week later you have more legacy bundles… available at coin prices.
this only encourages one thing to people: don’t buy ANYTHING because in less than a year they changed their marketing plan EVERY week, not just with the skins available for purchase. and we gamblers from the “risk of lootbox gambling” have only lost the satisfaction of “play to collect more” and gained a shop with a “multiple personality crisis” what offer to make you… which translates only in an extremely inferior purchasing power and choice for us players. And frankly what happens to content legacy is even more scandalous, and further detracts from what should be the exclusive content of the OW2 season (the BP)
it’s the whole Blizzard marketing department that’s ridiculous, they’re doing the same thing for hearthstone, WoW and DIablo 4 (and D4 isnt F2P, anyway).
Only Puppy is available right now. Katt will be at some point later, probably for the same price. I’ve been pretty much checking the gallery and shop every day for them since the launch.
