That feeling when you the only homie who set it to private and you don’t even play Competitive. :sob:

This is literally me. You are not alone friend
Quit comp about a seasons ago so I can play happier. I love every other game mode and arcade comp scene

It’s weird people in custom games when I play those sometimes ask me what my highest SR is and I just say “I don’t know” they get really confused then figure it out and wonder how I could play so long and never play a single Comp game ever.

Private because it’s that time now in Overwatch. Now people can’t see my profile now. It’s great.

Public because I think my team should know my strengths. But I think you should set it to Private if you’re planning on doing more solo-queue.

Downloading the patch now. Will set it to public. I’ve got nothing to hide.

Maybe only set it to private when I’m in a 6 stack and doing comp. That way the enemy can’t see my stats

I think I’m getting to excited watching these bars move, it’s like a race lol

I like this idea, I wish they had an option to make it visible to just teammates

I was just about to make a post for a Friendly team only option

I think I’m going to keep it private. I practice a lot of different heroes, so I’ll enjoy the opportunity to lock more diverse heroes than my top three without having someone breathing down my neck, waiting for a mistake.

Public. I play a fairly small set of heroes, and my team knowing what they are is really helpful.
I also think all profiles should be public again, and based on some of Mr. Kaplan’s statements they will be watching how people use the feature for future changes, so it’s also a vote for that.

Staying on private.
Don’t play comp.

I’m leaving it public. I only really play 2-3 heroes in comp and have never gotten abuse for my hero picks or constant requests to switch so this doesn’t change anything for me.

Public of course I’ve had many times where someone took my main and they’d see my hours and suggest a switch without me asking them to do so.

Private. if I’m going to be one of the few filling in a team, they’ll have to live with what I think we need.

This is getting good now, private is starting to take a decent lead. The epic race continues!!

The idea of having visible profiles to begin with was just asking for a toxic game. People should treat teammates as human beings, not a set of statistics. I’m going private on principle.

Public.

Votes for “private” are currently winning, which surprises me, but I suppose harassment regarding profiles really was driving people mad. Or at least, it was bad enough that Blizz would go and do something like this.

Private profiles in a video game is something I thought I’d never see.

I’m not knocking anyone who wants to go private, as it basically says (to me, anyway) “I’m here for fun, leave me alone”. Fair enough.

So far I’ve received zero indication ingame that people have looked at my profile at all so I’m gonna try private for a bit and see if it makes a difference.
