Yeah that whole thing is irritating when I saw that complaint
It’s like they expected her to be a man and a lumberjack who lives in an igloo, is half-native and has a pet beaver with a strong accent saying “eh” at the end of every possible sentence.
I haven’t heard any complaints about her not representing Canada, and I very much doubt that anyone saying that was also complaining about other heroes being stereotypes.

Sojourn could be african-american what we dont have in OW either yet.
All her voice lines will have “… eh?” at the end to highlight her heritage.
My complaint is why are the Black characters of overwatch arguably more augmented human with cybernetics than actual human? What is Blizz trying to say happens in the future?

I mean if you think physical diversity should be a requirement then that’s whatever, but I personally don’t think diversity of skin color in a video game is nearly as important as game balance
Me neither. I just hate when a character is being judged before their release just because what skin color and gender they have.
This does unironically beg the question though as to how hard they’ll try with her skins and sprays to make her “more canadian”

Japanese Japanese man, White Swiss woman, White Texan, Slavic Russian, Egyptian Egyptian, Korean Korean, Hindi Indian, Hispanic Mexican, Hispanic American from a place with a high Hispanic population. White Brit, Maori/White Kiwi, White Australian, White Dutchman. Black Canadian, a country with a tiny 2 percent black population.
