(PTR) Why the ''No limit mode''?

Okay i get it that it’s for everyone to be Brigitte.
But why did you not simply put : Only Brigitte mode
This mode is supposed to be fun , we are playing this game mode to play Brigitte right now , IT’S PTR , we’re not there for Competitive mode and all that stuff.

Like everyone is playing Brigitte and if the other team is pissed off , they will switch to Junkrat. It’s demoralising , nothing of that is fun.
If people find that fun , put 2 modes

-No limit
-Only Brigitte

It’s also to see how Brigitte fares against the other Heroes

Yes, a lot of people are picking Brigitte, but a lot of people are picking other heroes in this mode too. Rein, Pharah, Junkrat too as you suggested, as well as other heroes.

You can make a custom game mode for just Brigitte surely?

No that is what QP is for

custom games are on PTR. Plenty of Brigitte only custom games to join.

The 1H limit during new Hero releases is not a smart idea, people would just leave when they can’t get her. That’s why No Limits is active

That’s why you make a Bridget only mode, so that everyone can play her.

Yea, but then it wouldn’t allow Blizzard and players to see how she works against certain Heroes or certain ability interactions

Quick play when ever a new hero is live on the PTR is filled with strings of leavers on both teams, so there’s a lot of justification for having no hero limits on the arcade. A lot of unhappy players would be screaming at Blizzard if they didn’t have it available, which wouldn’t be particularly pleasant - only people with super fast SSDs would get to play the new heroes otherwise.

They can see her interaction with other heros in qp, like I said in the first post.

What if they add mystery heroes, but you’re way more likely to get Brigette, so you can still try her without having a game full of Brigettes.

But like my reply about QP, people would leave when don’t get Brigitte. The best way Blizzard is able to get players to play and see how she works with and against Heroes is in No Limits

And then the people who leave are replaced by people who don’t leave. Is this your first hero release or something?

Queue MMR?
Time it takes to fill the spot?
Ensuring that the backfill doesn’t leave?

You make it sound as if it’s a perfect world where the leaver gets instantly replaced by someone who wouldn’t leave. I already experience it on Live during new Hero releases. I think you don’t know how this works

There are 2 goals when playing a new hero:

How do you play that hero?
How do you play against that hero?

A Brigitte only mode lets you play the hero, but does not let you experiment with how to play against and counter the new hero.

A no limits mode lets you both play the hero and play against the hero.

I tired making a “2 hero limit” quickplay lobby in the game browser, because I wanted to have more of a chance to play Bridgitte but didn’t want a ALL BRIDGITTES mode like no limits basically is, but hardly anyone joined

That’s the idea. You get to experiment with how the character works and see the extremes of how matchups work. If one junkrat can destroy 6 bridgets, thats pretty useful information to have.

Qp also allows you to see Bridget against other heros, more than no limits does.

Usually the empty spot is filled quickly. QP ptr works well for new hero vs old hero scenarios. No limits is just who has the least of the new hero wins

Yeah but we play this mode to have fun , well for my part ! Maybe it’s not the same for everyone , and if this is so , i’m sorry
