My solution for this would be to have 2 options under Ana settings, one for full hp teammate heals piercing on and one for off. I tried it on ptr and it feels klunky, it feels like im standing around doing nothing at times sometimes.
Could there be a check to see if there is a target behind the target your shooting maybe? So if there is no target behind the full hp target your aiming for, the shot hits the target. But if there is another target behind then the shot pierces.

I really enjoy playing Ana and think she is a great and fun hero to play! I love the sleeping dart!
But I have one concern about her right now and it is the first shot after you have zoomed in. It is too much delay when you zoom in and shoot. The delay has to be lowered, because it is clearly annoying when you try to hit a person and ending up hitting your mousebutton 2-3 times before she is actually shooting.
Not sure if anyone else out there has the same issue as me, but i think the delay needs to be lowered a bit.
And what are Doomfist’s strengths?

These sound like great QoL changes Geoff, but do you think they’ll solve the problem of where she sits in the current meta? You know, with all the armour now floating about and the other supports being much better at defending themselves?
I’d love to see something happen to make sleep dart an ability that people are afraid of again, and maybe even some corrosive damage with 'nade to counter armour?
What do you think about making her biotic nade behave like her new regular shots do ? (going through full health allies) ?
Having this precious CD wasted on an ally that pop in front of you (or clip throught you from behind) is really annoying. And just like regular shots it’s also very difficult to get value out of it when your team is clamped up and you cannot hit the front line

Can’t you just give her piercing healing shot to be able to heal 2 people ?
So you remove this stupid bodyblock and allow pre-heal full health ally and buff her as a healer the same time. No need to thanks me, it’s free.

Today you have made 2 posts that have made me pretty hecking happy.
The other one was about small gradual adjustments over reasonable time instead of nothing or way too much, until a hero is where you want them. I completely agree.
I left my matches tonight mad as heck (a healer main was solo tanking for us and getting massive grief for trying their best and it made me pretty mad…) to come here and see these posts.

We’ll see in PTR but I think “Biotic Rifle no longer impacts allies with full health” will be very weird to play with. The idea seems good but:
- We can’t pre-heal anymore
- We’ll still be healing the wrong target because of small damages.
Today I know if someone is in front of me I’ll be healing the one in front of me and nobody else. Tomorrow I will never be sure who I will heal. It makes Bitic Rifle not reliable, sort of. - If we heal a full health allies with nobody behind, will the shot goes through and be seen by ennemies ?

I’m all for the strengths and weaknesses approach, but a healer who has to use a long and important cd as only means of healing herself is IMO a worse solution than to give her some way of self healing outside of solo bionading herself or running for health packs. Playing health packs as healer just feels wrong and having to chose between saving a team mate or saving yourself also feels wrong.
Like he is following you around just to stand in front of you…
Thank you Geoff! This is a very good start for Ana . But I still think she needs more than that.
Suggestions for further improvements:
-Increase movement speed by 10% on nano boost (opposed to 30% back in season 3) Ana’s nano boost can feel very underwhelming and now gives her nano boosted target faster movement speed
-Slightly faster reload speed A very slight faster reload speed to avoid teammates or Ana herself dying due to reloading since the pace in this game is getting faster and faster
-Decrease sleep cooldown by 2 seconds and biotic grenade cooldown by 1 second
Ana’s cooldowns are one of the higher ones in the game, but they have a very good impact but makes her feel quite defenseless without a nade or sleep for 10+ seconds
-Rifle damage increased from 70 to 75
Better defense against flankers for example now Ana can 2 shot a tracer.
-Faster projectile speed on sleep and unscoped biotic rifle
I think this is a good list if you’re looking to strengthen Ana’s kit and not removing most of her weaknesses completely like giving her self sustain.
One problem with Ana healing through teammates, is that it removes Ana pre-heal on full health targets before a fight since Ana heals over time.

I see alot of player asking for Ana mobility or Self healing and honestly, I don’t think she need it.
When I need heal I’ve heal-pack or second healer for that. If no choice or emergency I’ll use my nade.
My big concerne about Ana is two thing :
- Can’t heal if ally are behind enemy shield (and with all the shield that happen a lot)
- Nano it’s to much mate and hero depending.
It’s useless on some hero and when you use it, it’s 100% about the target action.
If the Nano heal the target at least it could be used as an emergency heal option for exemple.
I’m not competent enough for say how she should be balance anyway, these point are just my though on this hero I love playing.
