I prefer recoil over spread.
Pretty good imo. I know some people will say it is going to nerf the long range but that’s fine with me.
With the damage nerf he is weaker than before the changes. Nice work blizzard.
Interesting. I thought that going back to 19/bullet would have been a good counterbalance, so I’m glad and pleasantly surprised that they actually implemented it.
How? You have WAY more control over his gun.
No more “rng “
They actually listened this time
Nice.
He can land every shot assuming you can aim.
The damage nerf is fine, and will not make the buffs worthless.
Did you forgot how bad 19 damage soldier actually was? His ult is now even worse aswell. Even with no spread and no recoil 19 damage would be bad. He now needs 1 shot more for nearly every combo against 200 hp heroes and alot shots more against tanks while still being oneshoted by snipers.
Yea because his spread making it harder to finish off enemies. That’s why his damage was buffed.
Now it’s removed no need for 20 damage bullets
I wouldn’t call it “damage nerf”. I calculate 500 damage with the old Soldier (25x20), now its 570 damage before reloading (30x19).
100% hate it.
Regardless of how it was before too much has changed, there can be no direct comparisons. His primary fire is pretty much a brand new weapon now by changing:
This is pretty devastating to everyone who put a lot of hours into Soldier, as everything you thought you knew about Soldier 1.0 is gone.
Soldier 1.0 is dead, long like Soldier 2.0.
Yeah, this is objectively worse though.
If heroes would be strong just becouse of their magazine size/damage heroes like orisa would be op. What’s really important in ow is burst damage and mobility (soldier lacks in both of those).
yeah i think i’m going to finally enjoy playing soldier now.
Yoo God you don’t exist bruh.
Should have nerfed helix cooldown and damage
They basically made Soldier much more consistent at the cost of damage which is kind of Soldier theme. His close and mid range is his strongest area now but at longer ranges, he tapers off slightly.
Doesn’t solve that he’s still outclassed by Widow/Ashe and no real reason to pick him until then but at least this change makes him much better to play.
His ult needs a rework cos it’s a downgrade for good players. Otherwise I love the changes.
good change. recoil over spread for me.
