Comp is for people who look to win and take the game seriously. Yes, no active SR changes are live, but that’s no excuse to not be a team player and actively ruin games for others.

yeah it is lol. Wins and losses don’t count so people don’t try, that’s just how it goes.

preseason football, you shouldn’t be goofing around, but you shouldn’t be trying your hardest either. If we had an LFG we could just make our own teams and ensure that our teammates don’t goof off.
Like Tact said, you can not go 100% but straight goofing around, running 5 dps is not in line with the objective of Comp. You play to win utlietemly, and if you aren’t there to win, you shouldn’t play. You can have fun, but if you aren’t serious about winning games, you throw games in a way.

Off season comp is basically quickplay. Expecting anything else is setting yourself up for disappointment.

Honestly, anything else outside of the competitive mindset is equal to disappointment, and it falls on the community most of the time.

What’s the purpose of off season anyway…
That’s the big question, I mean with nothing on the line or to gain from winning it is basically qp.
Can someone please explain what an LFG is.
Looking for a group. You can form your own team therefore solve all the problems in this game. Sure you can do that thru forums or some discord channels but it’s not same as having it in the game.
I mean, you’re not wrong, but the gamemode is practically Quickplay until the new season starts. The most competitive gamemode we have until S10 starts is 6v6 elimination.
From what I have seen Competitive in season is basically quick play but with more salt in the recipe. Too many games this season I saw people just not interested in winning or troll pick in response to a widow, hanzo on our team.
Just dont queue comp without a group of friends with the right attitude. Just won’t do it anymore.
So far my off-season games have just been quick play with more exp. at the end of a match. Easy last minute grind.

I have to agree. Off season was terrible.I went straight back to quickplay because atleast there you have backfill if someone leaves.

I had a similar thread going, and was looking for an official Blizzard/Blue response on the situation. It is so frustrating wanting to play a structured comp game, when there is 75% of the team just goofing around with 4-6 dps comps. Just because it is off season, doesn’t mean the rules or expectations should change. Why are they not queuing for arcade or custom games?
If I get a team who wants to take it seriously, then I will pick up a new hero and learn then in a competitive environment. But if I get a team who wants to meme, I will play dps rein and charge the attacking spawn door. You see, when it comes to having fun I can flex 
And Stylosa seriously suggested an “Unranked comp” mode…

Pathetic excuse is pathetic.
And even then placements can still feel like a QP match at times.
Blizzard really do need to introduce an LFG/grouping type system so that we can group with like-minded players who actually want to compete in Competitive.

It’s in the Arcade, so people have been treating it like they do any other Arcade mode (ie not like Comp at all).
