tldr : you can only get the coins if you relogin the game from the Battle net, you can’t get the coins if you enter the game from steam
So today I got enough Microsoft Reward Points to redeem for the 200 OW2 coins, I redeem it and enter the code in the Battle net account page. But when I check the game (from Steam), I didn’t get the coins, it never happened to me before, usually the coins appears instantly after I relog.
So I decided to wait a couple of hours, try to relog again but the coins still didn’t get added up. Then it came to my mind, what if I need to enter the game from the Battle net launcher for the coin to register? Unfortunately since the Steam launch, I uninstalled the Battle net version, so I download and install it again. After that, I try to enter the game via Battle net and voila the coins is getting added up.
I hope Blizzard fix this since I didn’t want to keep 2 separate game file for just one game.
