I usually check the Hero Gallery every now and then, and noticed that Blizzard has locked some Overwatch 1 skins that were until recently earnable with credits.
First one was Totally 80’s Zarya skin which got locked shortly after there was an announcement that would be a reward on Twitch (on one of the blogposts) ahead of Season 6, only to be cancelled when Invasion finally arrived.
Second one I found recently was Mercy’s Mage skin, which was unlockable until Season 6, and I know this because I was planning on getting this skin with credits.
I thought of brining this to everyone’s attention as I saw no talk about it. Not sure what other skins have been locked recently, feel free to put them on the comments below.

Blizzard’s egregious greed knows no bounds. It is insane that people still give them money. My goal in life is to find a sugar daddy that plays Overwatch and convince him that I am more worth it than those silly cosmetics.

I’ve also noticed these things as similar things have been happening since the end of OW1. Like how they jacked up the price of two legendary skins to 3000 points at the very last event of OW1.
Issue is, I can’t be asked to point out these disgusting tactics anymore. People are aware and willing to except these scummy tactics with little to no pushback. I say just let them inflate the prices as high as they can so they game can die out already. There too busy marketing the game to actually pay attention to any of its issues. Good riddance.
I’ve found that a few of the skins I used to own have recently disappeared, nearly entirely. I haven’t seen any players with them in a long time, can’t find them in the hero gallery without messing with filters, etc. A lot of them were part of the Overwatch 2: Watchpoint Pack. I still have some of them but skins like Mercy’s Valkyrie and for some reason Reaper’s Nevermore have just disappeared from my collection. Wtf is going on with Blizzard rn lol it’s a MESS. Missing skins, people getting banned/suspended/silenced left and right, tanks STILL in a miserable position game-wise, Sombra is more broken than ever, locking the most marketed skin behind a $40 bundle, and charging people twice for the battle pass… WTF is going on???
