PS4 connection Issues

Is anyone else unable to get on overwatch on ps4? every time I try opening the game it gives me error code BN-564 which I looked up and says that its when servers are down for maintenance but when I check online of reports of overwatch being down it seemed to be common a couple hours ago but reports have almost all declined. I am still unable to get online though. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just my machine?

I am also having the same issue. It’s been about 6 hours now since I was last able to log on. I logged off and went to go take care of errands, came back and still having the same BN-564 issue.

Wow! Scratch that, the servers are now finally back. I was just able to log on. Try again and you should be able to. :+1:

The European servers were down for maintenance today, which also shut down all PS4 login capability across the globe.

I also have the same issue. I saw the BN-564 error. But now it changed into LC-202. I run the internet test and everything is normal. Also I did not link my Battlenet account with PS4. Just wired. Hope it will off maintenance soon.

That code is for a general disconnect error. You may want to try a ping test, which you can do through the Blizzard Looking Glass tool on a computer. If you’re on WiFi, switching to hardwired might help too.

PS4 auth servers are linked with the EU, EU is undergoing maint atm that’s why PS4 players can’t login.

Maint was meant to end earlier but it got extended with no ETA yet https://twitter.com/BlizzardCS.../status/1022717558183657474

Hey, I’m from east coast Australia and I’ve had connectivity issues since last night at around 10pm. I only get the errors - “LC-202 or BC-151” and I cannot figure out why.

I restarted my console as well as my modem/router several times and could still not log into overwatch. PSN was perfectly fine, I could even get onto other online games, just not overwatch.

I eventually thought to give my phone connection a try and use a hotspot and it worked perfectly, except a bit of latency issues which were to be expected with the reception around my home.

So what I’m trying to wrap up in my head is why, if it were a blizzard issue, that i could still log into my overwatch account when using a phone, but when using my own internet, it fails to let me log in even though other games let me log in.

Internet for the rest of the house was fine as well and was still having issues when every device other than the playstation was connected to the internet at night.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Much appreciated

Are you using SingTel? Some of their users are reporting issues in another thread: Cannot log in to game ** SingTel Fiber **

Im not sure what SingTel is. If you’re asking what ISP Im with Im with Optus in Sydney. And the game didn’t DC, I just jumped on at that time and it wasn’t letting me log into the game.

Something also interesting is that a friend of mine said that my profile was online, on overwatch even though i couldn’t access the game or at least anything but the enter game screen.

Optus may use some of SingTel’s network, according to another post on the forums. Ultimately, lots of Australian players are having difficulty today.

Yeah but what i don’t get is why other games work on my ISP’s network and not overwatch, you get what I mean? And then my phone works fine for overwatch? Its like my ISP doesn’t want to communicate with Overwatch but my phone provider is the same as my ISP so why does my phone work? I dunno

Other players are also reporting that their phone works but not their ISP. Basically, they are different networks, they use different routes, even though they are owned by the same company. Think of it like a game of connect the dots: one of the dots that connects your ISP to Overwatch is having a bad day. This is a common issue for networks; usually they can re-route traffic to solve the issue, but sometimes not.

Also happened to me with Optus net work in Sydney LOL. I played for two to three hours after today’s maintenance normally but now it is LC202 again. Thank you for all the information. I am going to chat with the manager to check the other networking.

this exact same thing has happened to my account
im using a pc and im able to login into battlenet but then am unable to ‘connect’ to game, even though my internet is working just fine.
this isn’t an account issue as I have 3 different accounts that I’ve experienced the same problems with
funny how this happens directly after the Hammond update to live servers

Are you also connecting from Australia JohnJ? Internet connection to websites and other services may be working fine, but the route that connects to the game had some issues (possibly still ongoing).
