Proving 400DPI is the best DPI

400DPI Is The Best DPI

400DPI is the DPI the best aimers in the world play at. Great examples would be Dafran, AimbotCalvin, Shroud, S1mple, Scream, Galeadelade, etc.
The one thing these pros share in common is their incredible aim skill, and the fact they all use 400DPI.

Why Is 400DPI the best DPI?

Why 400? The answer is due to consistency. First of all, the DPI of a mouse at its lowest input delay is 400. This is because of 2 things. 1 of which is that Mice are built with steps of 400DPI in mind. The other being that your mouse has to multiply 400 (Original DPI) by a specific number to get another DPI. For example, the number would be 2 if you used 800 DPI (400 X 2). If you were to not play in steps of 400DPI, you would be increasing your input delay by a LOT. You don’t want to have the variable of whatever number you multiply 400 with to have a decimal, as that means it takes more work to calculate movement of the sensor of 400DPI, relative to another DPI, such as 800, or 1600.

But What About Pixel Skipping! Won’t That Make My Accuracy Worse?

Well, you are partially right, but at the same time, you are wrong about the idea of pixel skipping/angle snapping. The difference between low DPI and high DPI is barely noticable, and won’t really have an impact on your aim unless you play at really high sensitivities. Only then is it worth going higher. I recommend most people to lower their sensitivities as much as possible, especially if they main hitscans.

So Why Would I Want To Lower My DPI? What Are The Benefits?

One of the benefits of lower DPI is consistency. Higher DPIs will smoothen your Sensor and provide input lag, or will make aiming too hard to control accurately, precisely, and consistently. For Example, it’s easier to keep your aim on the X Axis on the same X integer with 400DPI. This could be used for keeping your aim at head height easier. Same goes for the Y Axis!

Is There A Best Mouse For Gaming?

No, as for everyone likes different things, however these are what I believe to be the best mice.
Want a good wired mouse that doesn’t weigh much? Get the Logitech G403!
Want a good wired mouse that also weighs a lot? Get the Logitech G502!
Want a good wireless mouse that doesn’t weigh much? Get the Logitech G Pro Wireless!
Want a good wireless mouse that weighs a lot? Get the Logitech G403 Wireless, or the G502 Lightspeed!

IF YOU CHOOSE TO ONLY LEARN ONE THING FROM THIS SECTION, LEARN THIS!

Don’t get any other brands other than Logitech for mice, because Logitech mice have the lowest button delay. Unless you’re extremely sure about another brand making a mouse better than Logitech, I HIGHLY recommend sticking with Logitech mice.

For The Best Aim, Get The Large or XXL SteelSeries QcK Heavy, or QcK+

Why I Prefer 80-90 Gram Mice

Some People like really lightweight mice, and think the lowest is the best, and for some people that might be true, but what I found out is that it’s easiest to control your aim whilst having decent accuracy and not having to pick up a brick to be in between the 75 and 100 gram range, however both 75, and 100 grams would be pushing it a bit too far for me. I recommend going for the lower side of the spectrum here, but different people like different things, and that’s your decision to make.

Only plebs use 400 DPI. Real pro gamers use 200 DPI for maximum pwnage.

-100 DPI
“Am I a joke to you?”

There is no best DPI, it always depends on the sensor of the mouse, as they are optimized for different DPI.

The only thing I can agree with in the entire post is this:

Although that’s an unnecessarily wordy way of saying “your aim won’t jitter as much with lower sensitivities” and it isn’t only achievable with your dpi.

The only other thing that’s really tangible in that entire post isn’t even backed up with stats:

Then there’s the classic “Hey look, pro x y and z use this sensitivity and aim well therefor it’s good!” despire the countless other pros who use other sensitivities and aim just as well.

I play at 660 DPI,
average 55% on Mccree

I’m kinda cursed . I learned bad aim for TRIBES on a Logitech MX500.
Then I just kept buying the newer version of that same mouse.
MX500, MX510, MX518, G400
I tried to make the G502 work, but the weighting is different and my aim kept spazzing out.
Luckily I was able to grab an MX518 remake.

I did a test, using 800 dpi with 4 sens, and my current sens of 400 dpi with 8 sens.

All I could conclude was 800 dpi made my movements more sensitive and jittery, like even the smallest movements were picked up and threw off my aim.

Even if there is pixel skipping, I doubt anyone can notice it because of how fast people move in game, you’re talking less than 2 pixels in 1080p. In older games it was a problem but Overwatch I can’t honestly see an issue.

This is pretty useless. Wether I play 400/8 or 1200/2.6 doesn’t make any difference. Also, if you’re gonna “prove” something, provide some evidence instead.

holy

my god thats stupidly high grey lol

mine is 800/3.5

Obviously 4001 is better.

shhhhh… stop telling people about this. let them think their high dpi is good.

Ill stay at my 1000 dpi

Are you a Logitech salesman?

Isn’t this thread a forum rules violation? Isn’t this a form of advertising?

And then you have players like Haksal who dominates with 800dpi and 31 sens.
