My first post here so pls bear me. Just a thought. Overwatch2 could totally lauch something like skin/item showcases on personal profile.
Here’s the thing, I’m sort of skin collector myself, yet clicking on the gallery for each hero again and again is the only way to appreciate the skins I own
And I realize that the personal profile is a bit boring, showing the most basic info like w/l rate and number of games is all.
Take a look at Steam, one of the (I wouldn’t say the most important) reasons they gained huge success is that they auctually care about gaming community. They allow gamers to decorate their profile through different showcases, such as showcasing the fav games we own, the rarest achievements we unlock, ect. Our friends can leave comments on our profile as well.
Also the showcases are fully voluntary, I am convinced that large amounts of gamers have never even clicked on the profile, yet the fact is that the people who enjoy it have kinda become part of the community and have kept Steam community strong for years (with guides, fan arts and discssions).
So I argue that skin/item showcases could so be a smart move, especially considering OW2 has become a free game which earns mostly from skins selling. Offering some slots to flex the skins or items we own on our profile would be interesting and help building a more active community. I’d say at least 30 slots, or less so we can buy more slots with credits/white coins just like Steam Points Shop.
I hope the OW2 team could see this and consider it. And welcome everyone to leave a comment about it, I don’t check it everyday but I will reply when I see it
