I am a PS4 player and just linked my console to the Battlenet account for Overwatch but somehow my in-game name got changed and was randomly appointed a name? I just wanted to keep my PSN name but after logging I saw just something random without previously choosing a battletag. Any ways to fix this automatically or do I have to contact someone?
It appears your BattleTag is one of the predefined sample BattleTags when you first setup a BattleNet account. If you just set up the account, you get one free change of that BattleTag and you can do so at https://account.battle.net/details#battle-tag.
Notice! Once you use your one free change for your BattleTag, any additional changes will require a $10 fee which is purchased on the BattleNet online shop.
With the introduction of crossplay, all users now display the BattleTag of the BattleNet account. You can no longer display the gamertag of the console network you are on (unless crossplay is disabled).
