Honestly that should just be the standard. Screw adding a setting.
If you set your profile to private, you shouldn’t be able to see public profiles at all.
There was also another idea in that same thread which I’d be okay with, too. I don’t know if I prefer one over the other, both sound good and would fix my issues with private profiles:
IMO default profiles should just show a player’s rank in each role, plus a player-selected list of which heroes they’re willing/able to play. 90% of the time, that’s what players want to know when they look at your profile, and most folks don’t mind sharing that info.
Then, if for whatever reason a player really wants everyone to see their detailed stats, let that be something they enable seperately.
