I no longer have experience getting rank-shamed and people are more open-minded to me playing a certain hero.

I feel the same way to be honest.
But there are alot of complaint threads up already and i am sure M3han will come in here to flame your opinion soon

I don’t notice a difference, not that I would have cared in the past.
Definitely a helpful feature for strategy as well I see. I didn’t think about that.
I hope you take into account the incentive not to play heroes you shouldn’t play in your SR bracket…
It should be PUBLIC by default.
So the community is open and individuals can block it, if they want their peace in comp for example when playing a hero they didn’t play in previous seasons.
Plus, we should be able to display a number of our favourite heroes n stuff when the profile is private. Or at least our favoured roles.
So we can control the info we give to others.

The same people who used to gripe about hero picks are now griping about the feature existing to begin with. The only thing that’s changed is that we can easily identify the whiners, and hope we don’t get paired with them.
personally I don’t really care weather my profile is hidden or open…people have small minds, if they use your “profile” against you in an argument or a debate it just shows how small they really are…
It’s actually kinda nice.
I can give a damn less who people main or prefer to play during any given match. It’s also helped me a bit. I was starting to get sick and tired of hearing people try to control who I play based on my hours clocked in with each hero.
People are “open minded” for you picking a hero because I don’t know you can play any hero and anyone can just think you main them?
Overall its made my job as a flex player harder.
It’s great, now you can’t proof that someone is a smurf so easy!
