Private chat messages disappear in elimination round change

When I am typing to a teammate during a round of elimination but have not yet sent it, the entire message disappears as soon as the round switches to the next round. This was never a problem in overwatch 1 but a unique bug in overwatch 2.

Please fix this bug as its very annoying to have all my typing disappear and require me to rewrite everything during these matches.

The same problem exist in comp or any other mode. If you start writing something and the game changes over to the next round, everything is gone. Extremely irritating since you have so little time to write things in OW2.

Is it really that hard to fix this bug? Iā€™m really curious to know how this bug still exists after so many months!
