Fun tip: Priority requeue works across roles so, if you ever get one for a canceled tank/support match, use it for a quick Damage queue on your next game.

And don’t get me wrong here, I’m not saying priority requeue is a waste of time or should be done away with… just seems like it only benefits DPS.
Fun tip: I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work that way. Since the “queue” is not an actual queue, it’s not actually putting you closer to the front of the line. It’s likely adding the time you spent waiting in your previous queue to the TIME variable in the algorithm. This means if you just queued tank in 15 seconds and the game reset, you can switch to DPS, but it’ll just be like you had been sitting 15 seconds in the queue when you started.
I could be wrong, and maybe it just adds a standard amount of time to that variable for everyone, but that would be very poorly implemented.

It works for me. That’s how I get a lot of my Damage games in. Usually takes 1-2 minutes instead of 7-10 for me in those cases.

Now that you all have me thinking about it… maybe the whole point of priority requeue was to nudge players to play tank and support every once in a while in order to get those faster DPS queue times.
It was something people asked for that just makes sense. If you’re going to cancel my game, why should I start my wait over again? The unfortunate thing is that because the matchmaking queue doesn’t work like a queue, the best way to give priority is to sacrifice the quality of the match, and put you in a game that is closer to the 40/60 odds than 50/50.
It was confirmed custom games have no queue. 🤷
Not mine. I hate the entire game for backfill crap. You always go in to a losing game, and then have to wait 10 minutes to get back to a real game. They don’t give you any real priority requeue - it is all just crap.
