Press (Unbound) to access channels. Overwatch 2

I’ve had this same issue for about a year on 3 different accounts. I play on the PS5 version of Overwatch 2. I’ve never once had this issue on Overwatch 1.

I’d make the account and immediately be hit with, “Press (Unbound) to access channels”. So, I do everything. Open Mic all channels are auto join. Then I’d change it to push to talk. I can hear the sound indicator when I press the assigned button, but the mic doesn’t pick anything up. Another thing I am able to access all channels. Team, Match, Group. The weird thing is if I have Voice Chat Nameplate Icon on, I can see who’s talking I just can’t hear them. It’s not a mic issue I’ve tried 3 different mic’s and they all work in a PlayStation Party chat and Discord. It’s also not the Voice Chat Volume that’s always 100 percent.

I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling Overwatch 2, 3 different times to no avail. I’ve tried “Restore Defaults” in the settings a number of times but still nothing.

I’ve never been silenced, banned or even had a penalty for leaving games early. What I would do if I was going to make another account was go to support and delete the old one. I only have 1 phone number and I’m just at a loss at what to do here.

I don’t know if there’s anything you can do but I’d greatly appreciate some follow up.

So basically, I need to download Overwatch 2 on PC to add a missing keybind for voice chat to work on console?

Should be able to set the bind on console. If it doesn’t save, reset them all, then reconfigure.

Been having the same issue for the last week. I’ve done all the things OP has done, along with all the things tech support recommends on their page. Unfortunately I can’t find any unbound input in my settings that would stop me from taking in my vc. I don’t use push-to-talk but I switched to it to test of that was the issue. Still nothing as when I hit the button the game doesn’t pick up my mic. Works fine in every other game, just not overwatch.
