"Pre-buffering" Weekly Challenges

So with the new changes to the weekly challenges system, we now can check off the same challenge multiple times to get the rewards as they stack up each week.

As of now I completed all weekly challenges for week 4 and can’t make any progress for the 20k bonus Exp. But if I continue to play I can still check of the rest of the weekly challenges with multiple “charges”. However they do not count towards the bonus rewards, as they are locked until week 5

Hypothetically speaking: If I would continue to play, do the remaining challenges “pre buffer” towards the bonus 20k Exp. If not, wouldn’t it be better to not play at all and safe these extra charges to make it easier to get the bonus for later weeks?

In other words: if it’s not possible to “pre buffer” the weekly challenges and I keep on playing, I’m wasting weekly challenges that could count towards the 20k bonus Exp.

Isn’t that all counteracted by the fact that you get new challenges every week?

All you really could be wasting, from what I can see, is the individual challenges by not doing them (which is roughly 5k per, I think).

The real issue is that they’ve been silently removing 5k XP from the weekly reward pool every time they rework it. It went from 30k to 25k to now 20k.

Yes you do get new challenges, even more than you need for the bonus Exp. That’s exactly my point.

For me there are easier challenges (play 15 games as heroes not in top3) and harder challenges (get 8 progression levels).

If I would safe the easier challenges it would be easier to get the bonus rewards. Because if I keep on playing after getting the 20k each week, I’m wasting those extra charges a they to not count towards the bonus.

My whole argument/question would be obsolete if you actually can pre buffer weekly challenges to count towards the bonus reward. I haven’t been able to check it for myself, what’s actually the case.

I don’t think extra carries forward to the next week, you can just catch up for challenges you missed the prior week(s).

Yes, but you’re not actually wasting them. They refresh each week alongside the new weekly bonus. It’s only if you don’t complete the challenges that they start to stack up (meaning you didn’t even complete them/didn’t need to complete them in because the bonus was already finished). There’s no reason to avoid doing them.

The only things you miss out on now is the challenges you don’t finish by the end of the season. Again, I would be more concerned about the reduction of the total amount of earnable XP each time they “update” the challenge system. Even if you min/max this system you wont earn nearly as much XP as you did in the original.

Yeah it’s pretty sweet I did this last week, logged in, played volleyball and soccer for an hour, and got 12 levels an finished the BP

I agree that they continue to make it harder to get “free” Exp, that’s exactly why I’m thinking about min-maxing the challenges.

My point is that we get 6 challenges each week and we only need 3 to complete the bonus. That’s an extra 3 challenges to spare.

If of those 3 challenges 1 is easier and 2 are harder to complete. That would mean that when I keep on playing, the easier challenges don’t count towards the bonus. In that case I would need 1 of the harder challenges to complete all bonus rewards at the end of the season.
