And they end abruptly
Is it just me (no it’s not )
Or is POTG broken

It has always been broken the POTG isnt even POTG most of the time
A clutch Zen or Lucio ult never gets it just some stupid dps ult

Any POTG now is just lame and not really “POTG” worthy
No matter what way you slice it
This is not a thread about whining support mains
It the same as it always was & it’s only function is to pump up bad dps players who think there good
Played Zen the other day, got POTG for taking out the enemy Pharah doing her Ult, and then from there healed a couple of teammates. That was it, literally play of the game lol.

ive been getting it in a lot of my sym games and it’s always very underwhelming lolol
i think its based of how close u were to getting an objective too, like you made a game swinging play or something. which i do be doin n shi.
You might have an axe to grind but this isn’t about being bitter-- stay on topic
potg at this point will always be just the reaper ult or soldier ult. Only time I used to see supports was a zen who REALLY popped off or Mercy when she had mass rez lol. Sometimes a dva or rein will get i too but not as often as dps, stinks tbh that there’s no real suprise in them anymore.
The plays I have seen haven’t even been any kind of ults… like, a character does a lot of walking, cleans up a kill or two (two tops) and then walks around reloading and looking for another target.
I have not seen a “Wow!” play of the game except maybe one D.va bomb
Hopefully it’s another bug and they fix it… or maybe people are just bad at new Overwatch atm and it will smooth out eventually

I got one of those as sym, literally killed 2 ppl lol, but when i play sombra, ult and get 3 kills and 2 assists, nothing, no potg 
Same thing happened to me on Brig. Killed Genji during his ult. Threw out a couple healthpacks and killed a baby DVA. Not that I didn’t mind the spotlight but I was a little like “Huh…” I guess it heavily weights a “Shut down” now. I guess I shouldn’t complain.

I haven’t even bothered to watch the POTG in many of my matches and just leave when it’s playing. There’s not any kind of end game summary anymore either, like those cards showing off some “achievements”. I actually liked those. Now there’s just a POTG (lame 4 out of 5 times) and watching your BP bar grow longer. Whoop-de-freaking-doo.
I actually really would like some sort of ending screen which could highlight some things.

I thought they were going to be POTG v2 in OW2 but nothing changed.
I noticed that, too. For me it ends kind of abruptly and most of time doesn’t give any sense that it was the best play of the match.
Also, the Sombra’s intro hacking the POTG is broken.
I think overwatch 1s potg worked off of the fire system, but since that’s not here anymore I don’t know how they pick (I could be wrong though). I haven’t seen a good potg yet. Also I agree they end abruptly.
Also bring back the card screen, like why even remove it? It also allowed for the teams to have a little post game discussion before everyone was sent back to the lobby.
I’ve been seeing quite a few weird POTGs.
Like one where the enemy Genji got one kill during Blade.
In one match I had a 3k D.Va Bomb and a 1k Bomb later. The 1k got POTG.
One was a Hog landing a hook, killing that squishy and dying.
Sometimes it gets it right, but… I’ve seen my fair share of “Wait this standard kill cam is POTG?” since the update.
