POTG getting stolen BLIZZARD PLS FIX

3 kills with reaper ULT and a kill after ult ends. it gets a genji near the end of the game and he only got 1 kill with ult and 1 kill without ult. it frustrates me so much. i think ill show my friend what i did and it gets a moira with 1 kill ult and thats it. BTW im from czechia so sry for english.

You’ll eventually notice that not only does the potg system suck, but by the end of the highlight, most if not everyone has already left the game.

The potg is, and always has been, a broken piece of code.

Just like the developers should you too not care about jt.

you can get 1 boop and someone can get a 6k and that 1 boop will get potg
just cuz it’s environmental
potg is stupid…don’t even bother worrying about it

Kills on the objective and closer to the end of the game are weighted more than those off the objective and/or closer to the beginning of the game.

I once killed 3.5 enemies with Baptistes ult (I was Baptiste) and the potg went to a Brig who was killing the Widow who did not even focus her…it was like the Widow was just beaten up afk.
I guess the game thought “Brig healed Baptiste and enabled his kills”.

Once I also watched a Tracer sneeking and trying to kill Torbs turret. She gave up and recalled.
0 kills. Lost against the turret. Sometimes it is like that. Most of the time honestly.

My favorite POTGs are when it’s just random b-roll from any one player’s perspective.

That’s when you know you’re in a high skill lobby

You didn’t do all the damage. Just because you were the finisher doesn’t mean it was ‘your kill’, death blossom might have just finished low hp enemies.

The Genji probably did 100% of the killing.

If my team didn’t win I don’t even watch the POTG highlight, I also rage quit if D.Va (With her ult) or Bastion are the ones that got play of the game and don’t even waste my time with that. I don’t aim for POTG anymore since if we have a D.Va or Bastion it will always be overruled by them, but I do aim for being an effective player on the team and killing as many Widows, Bastions, D.Vas, Other Tanks, and Moira’s as I can. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

You can always watch your replays and capture and video edit your own PotG if these things are important to you.
