Post the patchnotes?

Just wondering why we always get the patchnotes last second before update ? most games post it few days in advance

Does it matter? its not going to change anything in the end?

I suppose it’s because everything ain’t finalized until the last couple of days, so it’s hard to release them sooner

I prefer last-minute postings, tbh.

They don’t know what TF they’re doing lmfao, those patches are being finished 5 minutes before they send them out :sob:

I mean nothing matters i’m just asking, does it matter if I ask ? just wondering what’s the issue here is it laziness, posting the notes is too hard I guess

Normal Overwatch:

Vendetta: ult cost increased by 5%
Sigma: Foot hitbox increased by 8%

Stadium:

The entire LotR trilogy worth of changes.

Im simply asking you for the reasoning of foundation why it makes a difference to you.

Because almost every major game posts their patch notes the moment the new update does live?

You might be shocked to learn how common that patches are worked on until the last moment they go gold. They’re also done weeks in advance so they can be approved for the console ports.

The more you know.

Yeah that’s a problem here :skull: just look at the game’s current state lmfao

Def not, I’m playing multiple “major games” they post their patchnotes few days before updates, at the very least 24h before

it’s literally nothing for overwatch they have hundreds of people in the dev team

Maybe they dont know what theyre changing until they change them /sar (/ser)

I just laughed so hard i almost threw up my whiskey LMAO cus thats so real

Patches are planned well in advance, I’m talking a few months here, they’re probably already working on the summer stuff

Exactly this.

I play on PS5. The update file downloads about 3-5 days in advance and you see it as a queued status in the downloads section. When you click on it, the notes state the installation date. In this case, it has Thursday’s date.

The patch is already completed.

real, full of spelling, grammar errors, formatting, ui errors. Like everytime??

Patches take a while to develop, and most of them are done weeks in advance. They have to be ready for multiple systems and also received approval from console companies like Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft before they’re released.

Square Enix posts their patches a week ahead of time for FF14. There’s the preliminary, and then the final version.

Correct.

Correct.

Though, in game balancing changes are not planned that far in advance, mostly just content work.

Update was already ready on Tuesday on PC.

Yea not seeing any issues outside of one hero that needs to be nerfs. Other than that OW is doing fine.

nah i swear ive heard that theyve said that they know what the patch notes for half season are within the first week or two of the season starting
